The purpose of this item is to boil expensive ingredients (which are potentially contaminated) before adding to the must.
It does its job, but be aware that When you boil stuff in it, then put the rubber stopper on, even if you don't tighten it, the suction created by the cool air inside will pull the stopper in, and you won't be able to get it out unless you know reverse chemistry. Believers, your eyes have been opened to the truth of science.
This type of glass wash completely out and leaves no residue behind. It is an environmentally friendly option. The side of the glass can also be marked easily and people tend to leave the stuff alone.
It is perfect for cooking agar prior to cultivation of mushrooms, I couldn't be happier.
There is not much to say about this Pyrex flask. This one works exactly as expected. My magnetic stirrer plate makes it easy to mix solutions with this magnetic stirrer.
