There is no thinner glass ever used on a condenser. When the steam/hydrosol touched the glass, it shattered on the inside. (And no, the glass was not cold yet, the water wasn't flowing through the condenser yet, but hello, Glass boroscilate is supposed to be this! The current issue is not available or if it is, the quality is extremely poor. My initial disappointment in having to wrap up a shattered piece of glass, send it back, and wait for a new condenser to come from another brand (an Amazon condenser that was totally awesome) was nothing short of annoying. I was able to distill all the plants I needed with the new one in two days.
Glass at a very cheap price. The brass tube worked for a single use, but after it was run through cold water for a second use, the glass tube cracked down to where the water part was. It's a cheap glass that shouldn't be used in extreme temperature conditions regardless of how hot or cold it gets.
It does what it says it does.
I'm so glad we got what we need.
