Happy to have you here. There is nothing wrong with the product. I gave it a 4 out of 5 stars only because it is too long for me. It appears this part was created so that it could be used with a variety of vacuums, which is why it kinks just a bit when upright vacuum is underway. My understanding is that the suction is not affected by this and is in a fully open position when under normal cleaning use. It is a different color gray not white, but I don't care, it's a vacuum. (Vacuum angled upwards) Overall, very pleased with this replacement part. The ends are connected in the same way as the It is a product I would recommend to anyone, and I would purchase it again if I had the need.
