What if my Hoover system is hooked up to this?

In this case, there are no restrictions on the type of hose it can have. You should be able to make a longer hose with the same inside diameter if you are just trying to make it longer.

Can this be used with a 5 gallon 4 HPRIGID vacuum?

(The Bissell hose that I purchased for my Bissell vacuum) does not have the connection at each end that will work with the Rigid vacuum, and the diameters will not be compatible. If you want to use the rigid vacuum, you ought to get the rigid hose.

My hard plastic hose tip was broken into four pieces after I ran over it

This is a perfect replacement, and not easy to find for a reasonable price. There may or may not have been a few goofy boys involved here forgetting to hang back up the hose properly on the wall. Currently, it is not possible to purchase the actual tip, so this is the next closest alternative. It was cheapest to buy an item on Amazon at the time of my purchase, however, I do have to say this is not the most environmentally friendly choice. As far as the hose itself was concerned, it was perfect.

It's a bit pricey, but it's worth every penny

A damage to the handle of my Bissell Garage Pro caused by someone driving over it had to be replaced. I wish they made just the replacement adapter, but they do not. There is no difference between this and the OEM part. Thank you for selling it to me.

Compatible only with certain brands of vacuums, no adapter for other vacuums

There is no way that this item will fit either of my vacuums. An attachment is required in order to connect it to the vacuum, but there is no other capability at the end of the setup.
