It all depends on how scrubbing-intensive you want to be. I was told to use the blue brush for grout and tile, but you might want to use something else for the other. With the exception of the blue brush, I got these descriptions from the Oreck website. The blue brush is currently unavailable on their website. I got this from another website, and I noticed a green brush on other websites that I hadn't seen before, so I added it as well. br>The black brush is for carpets.br>The orange brush is for furniture. This is the brush of choice for floors made of marble, stone, or tile. Blue Brush - This natural fiber brush is excellent for getting into the cracks of a wood floor.br> The bristles conform to the tile and grout for very effective results when scrubbing tile and grout, stone or slate floor brush cleaning. br>Brush - Green If you're concerned about scratching any of the surfaces to be cleaned, use a gentle scrubbing method. This scrub brush is a hybrid of light and heavy duty scrub brushes.
For tiles and grout, I use the blue one. Order of stiffness: I hope this helps: green, blue, and orange are the most rigid.
I purchased it for my Oreck 550 machine, and it served me well. The Oreck 440 is something I'm unfamiliar with. Perhaps you could compare your machine's measurements.

Finally - a brush that truly penetrates grout and textured surfaces! In my kitchen and hallway, I use commercial Armstrong tile. Cleaning this stuff is extremely difficult - It was tough, but the texture made it look dirty all the time. I experimented with a variety of brushes, including the Orange brush - However, the tile and grout were never truly clean as a result of this method. I could see the dirt coming off the tile and grout as soon as I turned on the Oreck with this Blue brush. It's also worth mentioning that I'm cleaning with peroxide. This purchase has made me very happy!.
The grout was undamaged, and the textured, unglazed tile appeared to be clean for the first time. The brush did not scratch the glazed tile shower floor. br>br>Don't be fooled by the difference in appearance between the "Oreck Commercial 237058 Crimped Polypropylene Orbiter Scrub Brush" you receive and the one shown here. The collar on this Oreck blue brush has been replaced with a cream colored collar, but it is the same brush that Oreck sells - Only after returning the first blue brush I bought from Amazon and paying $39 did I realize this. At the Oreck store, there is a tax of $99 on everything. I would have reordered this brush from Amazon at that time if I didn't need to use my Oreck floor scrubber right away, and I did so to have a spare on hand.
This isn't the original black ring with top-notch bristles. This one has a white ring with fewer bristles and softer bristles than the previous one. The bristles easily become brittle and bend over. Don't throw your money away.
We have a Mannington Luxury Vinyl Sheet floor, which we absolutely adore! ) in the living room and kitchen. The only issue with this floor—we have Coral Bay Seashell in Platinum grade, in case that matters—is that the textured surface has tiny craters. These have good wet traction, but they fill in with gunk over time, especially in the kitchen. Regular mopping does not remove the gunk from the craters, so it builds up over time; I tried a variety of materials and methods to remove it, but the only thing that worked was scrubbing by hand with a brush. Not fun. br>br>Then I tried it on an Oreck Orbiter with the BLUE brush. WOW! It's just as clean, but it's a lot faster and more fun. It was absolutely fantastic! If you have a floor like this, I strongly advise you to purchase this brush and machine; it is well worth the investment. br>br>I also experimented with a variety of detergents, including some well-known brands as well as more expensive alternatives. In the end, I used 1/4 cup of Mr. Clean per gallon of water. The option that is the cleanest and least expensive. I used a garden sprayer to liberally apply it to one section of the floor, waited a few minutes, scrubbed with the Orbiter, squeegeed the gross dirty water into one puddle, and sucked it up with a shopvac. A plain water mop was used twice after that. br>br>Extremely clean, easy to maintain on an annual basis, and no visible floor damage. It comes highly recommended!.
We haven't had any issues with the grout being worn or damaged, but we've only used the brush twice; we've discovered that the best way to use it is to have one person go ahead and scrub while another comes behind with a towel and mops up all the debris released. I would not hesitate to recommend this product to anyone who has trouble with grout stains.
I tried the Natural Fiber Union Mix brush (which left my floor looking like it had been strewn with shredded wheat biscuits) and the orange brush (which was too stiff). It was exactly what I needed when I put the blue brush on my Oreck Orbiter. It wasn't too stiff to get into the grout lines, and it did a great job covering about 1900 square feet of tile.
This is the best brush I've found for my textured ceramic tile floors so far. Brush is stiff but flexible enough to clean grout lines and small textured areas of my tile floor thoroughly.
This was purchased in April of 2021, and it is now June. It was still in the package because I hadn't needed this brush yet; however, when I took it out to use it today, there were cracks all over it; it had to be defective, but I couldn't return it because it had been too long; therefore, it was a complete waste of money. I was extremely dissatisfied with the outcome.
