Since vacuum cleaners are not sucking dirt up from the floors, I gave up on them because I was always chasing dirt around the floors from others blowing it around. Despite its name, it is not suitable for carpets, though it works well on hard surfaces. As a desert dweller, I have a lot of sand that finds its way into the house somehow. I no longer have to chase dirt around on my floors with this vacuum because it has great suction. I very much enjoy this product because the metal wand is durable and the plastic pieces are well made. As far as this machine breaking, I don't see any issues with it unless I put an extreme amount of pressure on the wand or attachments. I appreciate the ability to adjust the suction for area rugs, that's a particularly We were so amazed at how quiet it is my husband and I were both so surprised at how little noise it produces.
