My kitchen and foyer are both quite large. I simply dust mop the entire floor before moving everything to the Eye- Vac. All of the "stuff" is sucked up by the motion detector. My family consists of two children and a dog that sheds. I take the cylinder out every two or three weeks. LOVE IT! So easy.
I didn't see a package with two filters, but the unit comes with filters that are also washable, so you won't need to buy any extras unless you want them. I bought extras so that if something strange happens, I won't have to wait to continue using the device. It hasn't caused me any issues, and my wife continues to enjoy it. I have a six-foot cord with a heavy-duty cord, but I wouldn't be afraid to use a drop cord if it has the safety prong. You can also use a power strip with a built-in trip switch in case something goes wrong. I'm not too concerned because I don't leave mine on all the time; however, you can either leave it on all the time or turn it on only when you need it.
It's similar to an electric dustpan, except you can move it around the house. For example, I move it to the living room, plug it in, sweep, and let it suck up, then move to the next room and repeat. We have four dogs and a cat, so it's strong enough to suck up dog hair, but you have to get close because the suction is powerful. I wish it had a larger collection bin on the inside so I wouldn't have to empty it as frequently. I'd like it to remain on as well. It claims to do so, but I've never been able to get it to work; it always turns off. My parents had outgrown theirs, so I bought it from them. So I don't have the book (wonder if I can find it online somewhere) to figure out why mine works the way it does, but I love it and it keeps me from destroying my back with a dustpan.

My boyfriend and I both have long hair, as do our dogs and cat. This vacuum outperforms my expectations by a long shot. I'm sweeping the house twice a day right now because my Husky is blowing her coat. I brushed her inside and gathered the fur from half of her body in one pile as a test; watch the video to see how quickly the vacuum took care of it. br>br>If you have hardwood or tile floors, this is a must-have. It is amazing and 1000000% well worth the investment. I also purchased the longest possible extended warranty because I want this to last indefinitely - That is also a product I recommend getting.
In hair salons, I've used about a dozen of these. It's time to clean the filter and empty the bin. They're finished when it smells like charred hair. Hair will pass through the filters and clog the motor, making it nearly impossible to use again. They work well at first, but you must ensure that they are emptied and properly maintained. We continue to buy them because there is nothing else like them at this price and in this size. It's just a matter of double-checking them. They may work well for light-duty home use, but be prepared if you use them in a heavy-duty environment.
Amazing! I have three huskies at home. 2 are woolly coats, and all three are shedding at the same time; my back is killing me from bending over all the time, and good luck getting your fur to the garbage can without flying off, no matter how careful you are. THIS IS AMAZING. It's like kicking a vacuum cleaner in the buttocks! It doesn't make a mess when it empties. It also doesn't have to be emptied outside. I'm amazed at how much fur and dirt this thing can hold without clogging. In the country, there are three shedding huskies. One should be owned by every individual. Everyone should get one for an elderly relative to help them cope with the aches and pains of old age. With my huskies, I'll be putting this to the test. Anything that makes LIFE EASIER is a good investment! If something goes wrong here, I'm on the lookout for a replacement.
When in Auto mode, push your sweepings near the sensor to have them sucked into the unit. It's a little loud, but I don't think it's any louder than any other vacuum. The interior filter inside the dirt cup is the only thing that isn't so great about it. Everything gets sucked into it, and you have to clean the filter by brushing off the dirt and debris, which is a pain! Another reviewer suggested wrapping the filter in a dryer sheet and securing it with a rubber band; I tried that and it's still yucky. I bought the unit to help sweep up the tiny feathers and seeds that parakeets and canaries fling all over the place, and it works well because it sucks the feathers in before they float away from the broom. But, as shown in the photos, 95% of this debris gets sucked onto the filter (to clean it), and 5% of what was swept actually goes into the tank.
