I would advise you to keep away from buying. THIS ITEMS IS A SCAM! DO NOT BUY IT! About five years ago, I bought this vacuum and loved it so much that I recently ordered a second. The lever that keeps the main vacuum hose attached to the unit and the lever that is supposed to keep the bag door closed must have been changed by Hoover. Recently, I received an electronic vacuum that does not have two functions on one lever. By keeping the hose in place, or keeping the bag door closed, the bag is kept in place. If this lever does not perform both functions, you are required to keep a third hand available (if you have a third hand) to keep the vacuum together while you vacuum. This change has caused a lot of problems. Five years ago, the same vacuum never gave me this kind of trouble. My initial thoughts were that it was a strange defect, so I contacted Amazon, and they sent me a new This is the same issue I have with my latest order. There are no anomalies involved in this issue. Hoover made a poorly thought-out change to their design. My contact with Hoover customer service has been ignored. I have not heard back from them on how they plan to resolve this issue, or if I need to purchase another vacuum from another provider. Hoover must respond to this review by the end of the week. Keep the vacuum cleaner away until you can replace it. The following update has been posted When I emailed Hoover, I did not receive a reply, so I called and spoke to someone who simply gave me a point of contact for a local Hoover Warranty claims repair center. The problem I had with two brand new vacuum cleaners was described to them by phone (before I lugged them to the repair center). It was a pleasure to talk to you. In my experience, the repair center said that if I brought the brand new portapower vacuum to them they would be unable to fix the problem if Hoover is manufacturing it that way. The fact that Hoover assumed that their customers would be so tolerant of such an inferior product is astounding.

I rushed home on my lunch break so as to open up the package that it arrived on time while I was at work. I didn't look for it, so I'm not sure if it is written somewhere. But I was expecting a black vacuum, along with black attachments (which is what I thought was shown in the picture). A grey vacuum cleaner with white attachments can be found here. Because the attachment is smaller than I remembered, it does not cover as much floor as I remember it covering and the bristles previously covered the entire edge of the attachment, ensuring that your floor was not scratched and the suction was efficient throughout (for some reason they changed it). When you have shedding pets, the larger attachment (which I assume is intended for carpet) is useless. It has a smaller attachment (which I assume is for stairs) that has rubber bristles (which may or may not be effective on dog hair, but I don't have stairs so I would not know). There is a large difference between the previous and current corner attachment, and the furniture attachment is the same as what one might expect. The cord is very long compared to my usual vacuums, and it all arrived in perfect condition. It was important to me to make sure that the attachment I purchased worked with the vacuum I purchased for my hardwood floors. The dirt and hair on the floor should have come in after two days of vacuuming. This will help me gauge how this vacuum Although it requires you to vacuum more carefully because of its shorter attachment, this vacuum works well as long as you vacuum properly. It is great how the suction works! Despite having the vacuum for a little while, I have been able to vacuum under, behind, in between and a lot more so far! Taking it barefoot around my 3 bedroom house feels refreshing after vacuuming it all up! It removes hair really well and it leaves my feet feeling clean! In the short-term, I'm using the cloth bag that came with it because the paper bag adapter is taking longer to get here, but I recommend getting the paper bags as well (adding the adapter to the paper bag is not included). In the cloth ones, everything collects just fine, but hair and dirt get stuck in it and dirt falls everywhere when you dump It can be a little uncomfortable to wear the vacuum. If you walk around with it you will not feel it at all, but you will feel it when you bend over. As long as it could get, I made it as long as possible, and that's much more comfortable. Obviously if you want to spend the money on this vacuum, they do sell a bag that goes with it and it makes everything so much more convenient. As a whole, I am really pleased with this vacuum and I think it gets the job done! In this case, a 5 would have been a good rating if I received what I expected and the attachments were what I am used to. It's not clear to me why some of the reviews were so negative. There is a possibility that this vacuum works great at first, but slowly becomes less effective. It would have cost 100 dollars instead.
