In the old days, the unit came with just basic attachments, so it was called the commercial unit. With a model like that shown in the picture, you will have all the attachments needed for household use. Both Styles A and D are the same machine, although this is labelled "A", and Eureka Sanitaire's version is labeled "D".

I thought I would give this brand a try because my cleaning lady used it. Despite its light weight and handle on top, it was easy to pick up, and the strap lets me wear it. I really like the length of the cord, and I love that it reaches pretty far. only reason I gave it a 4 out of 5 stars is because the tool attachment cannot be carried and you have to purchase the carpet attachment that offers strong.
The vacuum cleaner I use is the same one I've always used. A few have vanished to family members over the years. I am happy with how everything turned out. As far as the last one, it's the plastic part of the hose that got stepped on and can only be sawed down so much. So much of my life is spent on it. It is a product I will continue to purchase.

Although I would have given it five stars, it didn't arrive with all the accessories, the crevice tool was missing, and the tool caddy was damaged in shipping.
