That flimsy broom is the same as before. I got an even bigger dust pan and flimsier broom when I paid double the price! What I wanted was NOT what I got! Because there is still a large lip between the floor and the inside of the dustpan, it is necessary to swipe the dust from the floor multiple times (similar to tossing a bean bag into The larger dust pan is presumably what raised the price, but I usually sweep up the floor as soon as there is THAT MUCH dust/dirt on the floor! It seems I would have been more satisfied with the price increase had it been due to an improvement in the broom (rather than simply the word "industrial" being added as an advertising ploy). Take care not to be fooled, just like I was.
Although the product appears to be made well, I believe that it is not very sturdy since both dustpans arrived broken where the handle joins the pan, which is crucial for proper operation. Unfortunately, the product is not as good as I would have liked since those are typically the reasons I purchase them. This crossbar needs to be made of a stronger plastic so it can attach to the handle and allow it to rotate. I hate that. The first time I used them, I was ecstatic.

Libman is one of my favorite brands. I purchased a 2-pack of the broom and dustpan from Amazon, but the broom came with one. The damaged one had to be returned and the other had to be returned as well. My local Menards store had them, so I bought them there.
A great dust pan is a must-have. Unless you are using a broom that is extremely short in length, they will not do any good. I had a look at the product details, but I may have missed this.
