In Lancaster County, Pa, I grew up next door to an Amish family with whom I avoided contact as much as I could. It was always available to us when we needed a broom. It is powered by compressed air from a water wheel in a nearby creek. Visitors are welcome to watch it in action. This is an excellent brand of old-fashioned brooms, and I'm delighted to see them on Amazon.
It outlasts the cheaper ones, which we use every day. It is important to rotate the head for even wear as they get better over time. Usually, we're able to get a year out of them. Two weeks ago, someone made a mistake, but the broom is still in good shape.

Brooms come in all shapes and sizes, and this one is quite heavy. I think it is overpriced and very well made, although it does a good job sweeping my kind of rough patio slab, and the handle is thick enough that the weight isn't noticeable after a while. Overall I think it's well made, but very expensive.
