Product Description

EZ-prep is used to etch concrete, clean it, remove grime and remove rust. Acid staining should be done with 101. You can use undiluted acid to etch concrete prior to placing an overlay or to remove heavy stains without dilution before resealing. The odor is light and clean the substance does not react with steel or skin.

The amount of coverage will vary depending on the substrate used and the dilution ratio. About 250 square feet can be covered with one undiluted gallon.

It removes complex stains and materials that refuse to come off

All the benefits of cleaning, degreasing, and etching in one. This product works like a charm to remove rust.

Metals such as steel will not be affected. It doesn't blow any fumes

Questions & Answers

Can I diamond sand this product before using it?

I believe it is not necessary, but I think it depends on how old the concrete is and what type of surface condition or if there was a previous coating on it, assuming you are preparing the concrete Using this to clean, prep, hose off, then apply the color and seal it, is all I needed to do. I found this to be incredibly helpful.

Do I need to use this prep , stain, and sealant on a cinder block foundation? Additionally, my front door and side door stoops are rough old concrete, is it okay to cover those as well?

There would be no problem using this product on most cement surfaces. It's an acid cleaner to keep the surface clean so you can stain or seal it. I've used it to clean a cement garage floor and have been pleased

If the concrete is new, do I need to prepare it?

Before applying any kind of coating to a concrete surface, it is best to prepare it first.

Is it possible to remove paint and adhesive stains from concrete with this?

I had no luck with paint, then used a brush and elbow grease to apply it. Staining your concrete using the product does a good job of preparing it for staining by general consent

It worked perfectly, but it was very expensive

Preparing my concrete for acid staining was made easier with this product. I believe that the product did everything it advertised, however it is expensive compared to the value it provides. I found that I did not use much of the gallon I bought for my 200 square foot home. It would be great if they offered a smaller quart size. A few feet. Working a job.

The paint may look better or even as good as Valspar, but I don't know

The concrete does get cleaned with it, I am not sure if it is as good as Valspar, but it does do the job.

I will buy more of this cleanser. I did need to add a splash of EZ prep to remove oil and grease stains. The concrete on our house is 25 years old, so we can't tell what was on it at the time when we bought it.
