Questions & Answers
Before painting Rustoleum epoxy on a smooth garage floor, we used this product to ensure the glue was evenly applied. If the driveway is extremely porous and heavily stained, however, it will be difficult to clean. Hope you have a successful day! A. J.
The answer is no. Be sure to follow the instructions and degrease

The concrete garage floor I laid before applying epoxy was prepared with this product. In order for epoxy to adhere, the oil must be removed. If staining remains, it must also be removed. The results you seek with your application would not necessarily be achieved by this method.

The tool was purchased so that I could clean two cars parked on concrete floors in my garage for several With a broom, I scrubbed, poured and raked the full amount of contents into the sink. After washing, it was thoroughly rinsed with Observed little results after coming out of the field. This is still a pretty ugly design. It appeared that there were clean lines along the spots where the detergent was originally Quite frankly, I think this is too weak.
During the process of cleaning our garage floor, it was suggested that we use epoxy as a finish. As part of the project, I bought this cleaner and used it liberally on a few old, worn stains in the old carpet. I used a tough brush to work it in, and I had to use a high-pressure washer to wash it all out. As a result of this cleaning process, we were so impressed with the results that we decided not to replace our floor. When we need to clean up heavy grease spots, I will definitely be back for more of this.
I would have loved more coverage from this, but the amount I got wasn't as much as I expected. I still think my epoxy did its job, since it went down smooth and easy and hasn't budge at all over the years. It is easier to perform well when you prepare beforehand.
This product was used to clean up oil stains from the floor of the garage. It didn't appear to affect the stain in any noticeable way. Cleaning the floor with Clorox was my first step. Twenty-five percent of the stain was reduced It's 30 percent. After pouring the degreaser over it, let it sit for a few minutes, then scrub it well. Strong chemical smell but no "wow" effect even though it took off just a few more percent of the stain.
I applied this to a garage floor that was badly cared for, had paint spills, and even sealer spills. By using a good brush broom, the scrubbing went really well. My floor is 400 square feet so I used maybe a third of the bottle. The price was not too high, and I like it.
We painted the garage floor after it was cleaned and more than 95 percent of the problem areas were gone.
I love how easy it is to use and how well it functions. When one of our cars started leaking antifreeze in our driveway, we tried several other degreasers (those in gallon jugs) but none of them cleared up the mess completely. It was always possible to see the outline of the liquid or its remnants. It wasn't until we used Rust-Oleum degreaser that we learned the truth. The directions were easy for my husband to follow, and now our driveway looks as good as new. The stuff is great. I love it.
My garage was drenched in oil for 44 years, so I drained it and prepared The area to be coated, where oil stain was, had some discoloration remaining, but the dirt was no longer stained by oil, As you watch, you can actually see oil bubbling.
