It is possible. It is not unusual for larger wood stove doors to require a 1/2 inch gasket. Make sure you have the correct
As a result, its width will be about half of its original size
That's what I would say. The wick / rope would be able to wick up the kerosene, allowing it to burn, but not the kerosene It won't matter how long the wick is, try a small length to see if it works. If it does, you could buy more for your torches and never have to buy wicks again.
There is no way for me to know whether it is safe for the toaster. Such a thing wouldn't be the case for me.

The cut is sloppy. The cut looks dull because the stone used to make it was dull. As a result, waste material is generated. The material was stretched excessively and loosened repeatedly, leaving essentially an unwound rope assembly as a result. I've never seen or used a gasket of such poor quality. I almost removed it from the stove because of its bad condition. Liberty Supply is out of my price range and I will not buy from them again. The product should be avoided, as I highly recommend it.
Other than the fact that this product does what it's meant to do, I can't say much else about it. As a result of it being on an offset smoker that I built, it keeps the smoke and heat inside of the house just right. In this case I would recommend it because even though it is thick, it squishes down quickly to the size you need. A lot of fuel has to be burned for the wood A match was placed at one end to handle some fraying and it seemed to have little effect.
It seems like I have to replace a section of my fireplace stove gasket every year, usually either on the doors or near I now have an extra gasket on hand for the next time, since this one is working well.
There were gaps in this and it was too small.
It's a great product.
Gaskets for stoves are great. To replace the old gasket on our Buck 27000, we needed a new one. I would like to warn you some time for this rope to compress down enough to allow the door to be closed. You have to be patient and to work with it.
It is perfect for my wood stove. A thick layer.
The rope gasket in the door of my wood stove that I built myself was insufficient. I found this gasket to be exactly what I wanted. As well as gasketing the door, I could also gasket the ash pan with this length. The rope gasket is made of high quality fiberglass. It would be a good purchase again if required.
