This material might be useful for making gaskets for liquids, but I do not think it has food-grade properties. There is no indication in the product description or on the packaging that the silicone sheet is food grade or FDA approved, but others have used this silicone sheet for articles that come in contact with food. It is on the package that a warning is given about "cancer and reproductive harm. ". As you can see from the attached picture, this review is a rave. Material is flexible, and can be cut down with scissors or a blade, just be aware you are using it at your own risk when it comes to food preparation. Applications should be graded.
The material was used to make gaskets for two moka espresso pots I purchased. In one pot, an old rubber gasket had fallen apart when it was removed. I made a spare gasket for the second pot, since I have not had any luck getting a spare gasket from Minos. Using a super-sharp scissor and a brand-new disposable scalpel, you can easily cut the sheet. With that in hand, I have a new gasket and spare for my one pot, along with a spare for my other pot that still has 80% of its gasket material.

Small rubber pieces made from this material are perfect for crafts. It helps me wrap my bicycle around it. In small pieces, this can be hard to find.
