The length of the rope can easily be determined. Its density is such that it compresses without collapsing. Gaskets with a diameter of 5/8 inches were needed for my stove. A review on Amazon indicates that There were a number of people who advised getting a size larger. There was a mistake in the order, so I ordered this which is a little over five inches The gasket in my door would not allow me to close it tightly. My final order was a 5/8" and it worked fine, so I am giving it a 5 The star is. I learned a lesson from this experience. It is important to order the correct size. The product is well-made. Simple to cut to the length you need. Its density is such that it compresses without collapsing.

Across this gasket there is a thin layer of glass fibers, I hope I am not breathing them in. It sparkles beneath the sun when it shines on my woodstove. There are tiny glass fibers in the glitter. Wear gloves and eye protection, as the installation instructions instruct you to do. The reason is now clear to me. Rurland does not recommend using this product for food preparation, but it does not say that on the package, and customers are purchasing it for use in By doing so, they are unknowingly harming their health.
