Questions & Answers

Is there a bracket I can buy that will allow me to screw this horizontally?

Yes - Each SC (standard cylinder) model comes in a variety of styles. Google "SC63-" to see an example of horizontal. They cost around $3 each at "LB" Trimantec. The sc63- It's also possible that fa will do the trick. There are a few more options on Amazon - enter "ca-" in the search box. cb-63 Foot Flange" or "63 Foot Flange" You should double-check the measurements, but all SC cylinders (as with sda, etc.) are supposed to have the same specs within the same bore size, so you don't need to get one specifically for a brand. If you're not using the 63 bore size, replace it with 50, etc. (sc50-sc60-sc70-sc80-sc90-sc90-sc90-sc90-sc90-sc90

Is the cylinder equipped with the push connectors shown in the picture?

No, it does not include anything.

Is it possible to adjust the pressure on this cylinder? Is that what those screws near the air fitting on each end are for?

A pressure regulator controls the pressure in any cylinder, and the screws on the cylinder are used to adjust the cushion at the stroke's end.

On the lower PSI setting, how many foot pounds of force will be generated?

It's not something you'd count in feet. Pounds of force are all there is. The area of the piston multiplied by the pressure equals the output. br> Pi * (D/2)2 is the area: 2"/2)2 = 14 * (2"/2)2 = 3. 14 sq- br> Multiply that by the pressure, which is 145 psi (max), and you get a force of about 455 lbs. TL: TL: TL: TL: TL: TL: TL: TL: TL: TL DR - Psi (pounds per square inch) multiplied by three 455 lbs is the maximum force. The stroke length is slightly less than two inches.

Make sure you're using the right application
5/5

Nothing to dislike; I installed it on my CNC machining center; however, because my machine uses 3/8 hose, I had to use the old fittings for my tool changer. It's fantastic! No banging from side to side, smooth operation, and buffered action on each end of the cylinder.

With one exception, this is a fantastic cylinder
4/5

Other parts that might be required when using this cylinder are grouped together on Amazon - They failed to notice that the hose kit and the on-demand water supply were both included in the package. Although the off switch has 1/4" fittings, the cylinder has 3/8" ports. As a result, I needed to purchase two bushings, 3/8 x 1/4. It's not a big deal; I should have double-checked all the specks instead of assuming that was all I needed.

Effortless performer with a powerful punch
5/5

This pneumatic cylinder, along with a 5-year warranty, was purchased by me. I had only seen it on an online video, but I needed a foot-operated actuator to replace the manual toggle clamp on my pocket hole jig. This item was delivered late due to the carrier's loss rather than Amazon's, but it was well packaged once I received it. It's a sturdy, heavy unit with well-machined parts that offers a solid extension at 100 psi and holds the work piece more securely than the original clamp. I've ordered a second Tailonz cylinder with a longer stroke for future clamping projects.

It really works
5/5

For me, it works exactly as it should. I wish it were a little faster, but it crushes cans without hesitation. I used the red push button, but I'm thinking about switching to a foot-activated air switch. Because I'm using an 8-inch rod, I can also do 16-ounce cans.

Thank you for providing exactly what I needed to build a can crushing machine.

In the description, the dimensions are incorrect
3/5

Before you buy, double-check the listing for the metric to inch conversion. I purchased an 8" stroke that turned out to be more like a 6" stroke, and when I read the description again, it says "100 x 150 Stroke: 8". Someone clearly dropped the ball here, as I had to return it and replace it with another brand.

I built a can crusher that I could take with me wherever I went
5/5

Using 3D printed parts that I designed in CAD, I created a portable can crusher. It makes use of a lever solenoid valve, which I reviewed as well. I was worried because most of the ones sold online have thicker shafts and I didn't think this would effectively crush a can, but at full adjusted stroke, this thing smashes them down to about 3/8" to 1/2", which is more than enough. Overall, the system works well, with the lever and hose purchased for around $50 on Amazon and some of my time spent designing and printing low-cost parts.

So far, everything has gone well - Durable
5/5

I used this to make a can crusher, and I've crushed over 3000 cans so far with no misfires. It isn't the most powerful, but it does an excellent job of crushing cans. br>At the moment, I would suggest this. I'll be sure to let you know if anything changes. br>NOTE: THIS PAGE HAS BEEN UPDATED. It should be noted that some of the specifications are incorrect. When you look at the AC Trip, the AC is actually 290, which I have the SC 40 x 200. 11 7/16" (5 mm).
