I've only used it on a 12 volt winch; I've never tried it on 110 volts.
If your winch has the same plug, it should work.
3 I believe I had to cut the cord and wire it directly, if my memory serves me correctly.
This one has a round plug.

I'm not sure if the remote for the winch is the right one. The winch did not work after it was installed. I haven't had the opportunity to thoroughly investigate the system, so I'll hold off on making any comments until then.
The button is quite nice. If you don't have the plug it comes with and need to splice, it's a little confusing, but it works well.
This one appears to be sturdier than the one that came with the winch.
The item was bubble wrapped and tossed in a box with no instructions or even a wiring diagram, and Northern had it drop shipped 15 days after they charged my card. The product appears to be of good quality.
It didn't really help me achieve my goal.
It's a good piece of equipment. It's been installed on my boat and has proven to be durable and reliable thus far. as well as being watertight.
