There's a lot of stop and go on my remote. However, I am usually able to raise the bed.
I almost 100% know it will happen. It can be used to recover data from a wide range of dumps. It demonstrates how to connect it to various types of devices.
Replace the remote battery and mount the antenna outside of any steel box.
I recently installed a 2017 Midsota 16' dump. It's quite effective.

My truck is a chevy crew cab longbed. On my dump trailer, I mounted the module inside a metal box, ran the antenna cord out of the box, and stuck the small antenna on the backside of the box, away from road debris kicked up by my truck's tires. Unfortunately, this is also on the driver's side of the box. The remote works when you're in the driver's seat, but it loses signal at times. My arm is either dangling out the driver's window or suspended in mid-air by my dome lights. As inconvenient as it is, it is far superior to a corded remote, and I would recommend it to a friend because of the low cost; it's also convenient that you can control it from the box while the remote is still in the truck. When I need to lift the bed to dump the water out of it while it's in storage, I do this.
I'm very pleased with mine, though the range seemed limited and it began to pulsate when going up or down. After my installation, I noticed that the LED was quite dim. I considered repositioning the antenna to see if it improved performance. Rather, I changed the remote's battery. It can now work from a distance of at least 50 feet in any direction. I'm sure these sit on shelves for a long time and the batteries die before we get them, so if your range is poor, try replacing the remote battery with a good name brand and see if that helps. I like mine a lot, but for the price, I wish they had included two remote controls. I like throwing it in the truck and knowing it will turn off so I don't have to worry about it dumping while I'm driving down the highway.
It was simple to set up the Bucher Hydraulics Wireless Dump Trailer Remote. It took me about 20 minutes to set up and get everything working. The system appears to be of good quality, and I expect it to last a long time. br>My main concern is the wireless remote's limited range. To maximize the direct line of sight area, I placed the antenna in front of the control box. The range is around 50 feet with line of sight to the antenna. The remote stops working when I am directly behind the dump trailer. I can stand at the back of a dump trailer at the sides (not directly behind) and the remote will work about 80% of the time. I can also hold my hand out of my truck cab window and it works about 90 as well as well as well as well as well as well as well as well as well The problem is that if you hold the button down to operate the dump and you don't have a 100% connection, the hydraulic pump suddenly stops and starts again.
I have this unit on two dump trailers and have it wired into the aux switch on my dump truck; it works great, and I can now check my clearances while dumping and disconnect the receiver from the cab (aux switch) to prevent any accidental dumps. br>br>The first unit I purchased works OK, but reception cuts in and out every 3 or 4 seconds, which is annoying but saves time in the long run. br>br>The second and third units came with a different remote control and work flawlessly from anywhere near the vehicle.
I love it because it is wired to my 2019 Big Tex LX14 dump trailer. I can now spread dirt or rock from the cab of my pickup without relying on a friend to operate the wired remote from outside.
Installing it is a breeze. Arrived on time. br>As long as it works, I'm happy. br>It would have been nice to have a second remote in case something went wrong.
It only works up to a distance of 4'. It was a huge let down. I contacted the manufacturer for technical assistance, tried several of the suggestions they provided, and then they ignored my request for a replacement after all of those suggestions failed.
This is an excellent unit. The only issue is that the antanna is too short and difficult to pick up the signal from the remote, causing the hydraulics pluse to turn on and off. I replaced the antenna with a taller one, which works perfectly.
