Questions & Answers

Is it possible to use this pump to power a lawn tractor loader with three cylinders? and, like an open loop hydraulic system, spoon hydraulic levers?

I have one with a 6-inch diameter. A directional control valve with a spool solenoid. I have a system in place that only turns on the pump when a valve is opened. When a cylinder extends, the fluid from the back side returns, so the fluid level does not change much. The volume of the cylinder's rod is what makes the difference. So far, everything has gone well. I reasoned that if I wanted to change the operating speed of the electric motor, I should install a motor controller. Proportional hydraulic valves are much more expensive.

I'm looking for the product manual as well as the installation instructions. I'm trying to figure out which port is A and which is B. What is the port thread and how do I adjust pump pressure?

There is no manual, as far as I know. To be certain which side is A and which side is B, you'll need to perform a test run. I don't believe you can alter the pressure, at least not that I am aware of. Because port thread is British, the best thing to do is take the port nipple to a hydraulic repair shop and ask for the proper connection for your pump; trust me, this will save you days of searching.

What is the warranty on these? I have one that lasted a year and three days. What is the warranty on these? I have used it 50 times. ?

On the sepcs page at the bottom of the listing, read about the seller's warranty.

What is the best way to adjust the speed for up-tempo music? and-down?

Flow controls should be added to the circuit. Seek advice from a hydraulics supplier.

Are you in need of some assistance? But I'm going to put in the effort! I'm having the same problem as a few others
4/5

There is no manual or instructions for connecting the devices. The electrical system is nearly identical to that of other pump assemblies, with a few minor exceptions. It took some time for me to figure out how and where to connect the 12 volt positive and ground. It was a pain in the buttocks to get the hydraulic connections to work. If you're going to use this on a dump trailer, you'll need to get it plumbed at a hydraulic store. Dump trailers do not come with standard fittings. I had to take the pump and the old fittings to a Parker Store for assistance with the plumbing. It would be extremely beneficial if you could provide some instructions! It's not going to be an easy change. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> I installed and operated the pump on 4/06/2017. It would be beneficial if they decided to post or send instructions. I'll revise this post and give it a new rating. Under power, I had a problem with dropping too quickly and not being able to hold any position up. So I changed the hydraulic lines, and the problem with the drops seemed to be resolved. It is now supporting the bed. Although it raises the dump bed smoothly, it is a little slower than the old pump. There could be a solution, but who knows without instructions. It will be put to a lot of use quickly, so if there are any issues, I will update the post.

"The 8 Quart's dimensional view is unreliable. I couldn't find a way to confirm with the seller. The one I got is a lot smaller than the one I was expecting. "br>NOTICE: THIS PAGE HAS BEEN UPDATED. " br>Amazon Marketplace Seller - Fisters took notice of my initial review and promptly emailed me to confirm which pump I had received. They quickly responded, apologizing for shipping the wrong pump [a six quart instead of an eight quart], after sending photos of the shipping box and information about the pump. For my inconvenience, they have offered me a refund. Fisters has been a pleasure to work with throughout the response process. br>In order to give these pumps a rating, I have previously used them without issue. Note: Other reviewers mentioned that metric fittings for the fluid line connections were difficult to come by. These pumps are equipped with brass fittings that convert from metric to NPT, allowing the user to adapt to any line size. I gave it four stars because I don't believe any product is perfect, but I would buy it again.

I'm going to buy one more! REVIEW HAS BEEN ADDITIONALLY UPDATED Had some issues at first, but the seller provided me with all of the information I needed to get it to work the way I wanted it to
4/5

I used it to upgrade my snow plow. br>Good product for the price. Last year, I had issues with my flap bending and snow flooding over the blade, so I installed a cylinder, and now the flap moves up and down. Also, plows trip and springs break, so I installed a tilt cylinder so I can lock the plow down and use it like a dozer to grade the driveway this spring and push me out of a snow bank when I get stuck. Last year, we doubled the power of the L/R by using double acting cylinders, which gives us twice the power and allows us to turn the blade while pushing snow. larger cylinder for lifting. br>The project is now finished. I relocated the pump beneath the hood, taking up the space previously occupied by the air cleaner and antifreeze reservoir. I bought an aftermarket air cleaner and made a reservoir out of a gallon jug. Now there is plenty of room for movement around the SVs, and it appears less crowded. over- All in all, I'm pleased with the pump, and the seller did an excellent job of providing me with the information I required. as seen in the video.

Overall, I am pleased with the unit
5/5

Overall, I am pleased with the unit. The hydraulic fittings are British standard, which is fine if you live in England; however, if you want SAE, simply remove the fittings and replace with JIC, which works perfectly. One issue I'm having is that when I'm in the down mode, my lift table falls over like a rock, and I'm not sure how to fix it. Everyone who says NO INSTRUCTIONS is correct; all they have to do is post them online, right? br>Kenbr>br>I'd like to make some changes to my previous comments. The pressure port of the unit has a check valve; remove the hose fitting and use a straight screwdriver to turn the check valve counterclockwise. This is a pressure-activated check valve that the manufacturer must set to about 10000 pounds. This valve allows a large amount of hydraulic fluid to flow out, but when the fluid returns, the plunger closes, slowing the hydraulic ram's descent. I customized the check valve for my needs; I have a lift table that can lift between 500 and 1000 pounds. 1500 lbs. This check valve is ideal because it is pressure activated and slows down as the weight on the lift table increases. It performs admirably.

It performs admirably
5/5

After reading some of the reviews, I was concerned, but when I received the pump and two types of fittings, I was relieved. BTW, the British threads that a few users complained about are available at hydraulic stores; there are a few near me, but the Custom Hydraulic people were excellent at matching up what I needed. br>The seller claims it can be mounted vertically, but the reviews say no; I have mine mounted vertically and it works fine. br>The wiring is very simple, with red or positive to the motor relay and black or ground to the motor. The nuts were intentionally left loose to emphasize the point. br>So far, the only drawback is that the down position lacks a check valve, and I need to hold both ends of the cylinder in my application. The problem is easily solved by installing a $65 two-way solenoid valve that is wired to open during pump operation. It would be nice to have some flow control, but that isn't going to happen in this price range. If necessary, external flow control can be added. br>Overall, it's a functional and cost-effective way to switch over, and it's much less expensive and faster than using an electric actuator.

When you release the up/down button, how do you get the pump to keep the ram in its current position? Pump was delivered in good condition
3/5

Because the fittings are British, plumbing it is difficult. We finally decided that we needed to order a fitting to convert from Brittish to NPT after wasting several hours and driving many miles looking. Isn't the issue now resolved? Wrong! The ramps will be lifted by the unit, but as soon as you release the "up" button, the ramps will begin to fall. This is a potentially lethal situation! Any help with resolving this problem would be extremely helpful. Some buyers claim that you can "clean the check valve" based on other reviews and questions. Is there anyone out there who knows where that is? I'd give it a five star rating if the ramps stayed up after you released the up button.
