Selected User Reviews For Spears PVC Gate Valve, Non-Rising Stem, Viton O-Ring, 1" Socket
I was fortunate to find this item at the price I did. These valves can be quite costly, but they are nearly faultless when compared to some of the less expensive gate valves that you may need to replace at some point. Save time and money by purchasing a good one right away.
The PVC gate valve, which replaces an older Spears product, is a good product that controls water flow to my back yard; another Spears gate valve controls water flow to my front yard, and I water each yard separately. The use of two valves allows the maximum amount of water to be directed to each yard, resulting in maximum coverage. This product has made me very happy.
In general, the valve performs admirably in my application. I'm using it on an aquarium's drain line, so it's not for pressure. Having said that, it performs admirably for the purpose for which I purchased it. My only gripe is that the valve isn't as easy to turn as I had hoped. It's not bad, and the more you use it, the easier it becomes to turn, but I thought it was worth mentioning. Even so, it's still preferable to using a ball valve!.
Fine tuning that is both smooth and effective. I'm using this for a full siphon overflow in my aquarium, and fine tuning is essential; ball valves wouldn't do the job. However, this was a success.
good.
Exceptional product quality. br>Flow adjustment has never been easier.
