The Sharkbite is an amazing product! Surely, this is one of the most amazing things I have ever seen It is one of the best inventions of all time
5/5

It is as if plumbing became so much easier with this (and PEX) than it was 15 years ago when copper pipes had to be sweated. . . . I installed them at the time of replacing a bathtub/shower so I could have localized shut-offs There are offsets. The water was easily turned off across my entire house for as little time as possible with this service. As soon as the water was off, I used a pipe cutter to cut the hot and cold water runs close to the bathroom, then I slipped one of these along each pipe, making sure they were completely It only took 5 minutes for the water to be restored throughout the house! My next step was to run PEX for the new plumbing for the shower/tub. Taking advantage of the PEX, we were able to connect the opposite side to these Sharkbites perfectly. The use of these and PEX is so simple, that I feel like I should do it more often Let's plum my house from top to bottom!.

It's awesome to own a SharkBite fitting! placed the valve on 1/2 copper pipe today so that I could shut off the water to our hose outside instead of having to do all the water shut off at once
5/5

If you plan to install SharkBite fittings on copper pipe, it is strongly recommended that you view videos on how to properly prep copper pipe. You must ensure that the copper pipe is cut straight, and that the end of the pipe is smooth and clean inside and out. In order to shave off the inside edge, I used a sharpening tool like a pencil, a debur tool. I used the SharkBite debur & sharpening tool. The outer edge should be deburred with a measuring tool. As well as using a metal bristle tool to clean any shavings in the pipe, I brushed the inside with water. Furthermore, there was a place where you could brush the outside and clean it out. As you put in the fitting, push firmly until it is securely connected. It needs to be pushed on as straight as possible. This valve has made my life so much easier. This is a must-read for everyone!.

This is a good replacement for a permanent one
5/5

For front and back hose spigots, I used two of these (along with two Sharkbite exterior hose bib valves) just now for my garden hose spigot basement shut offs. Their ease of installation and good performance make them a great choice. Also, if you anticipate that you may need to remove the valve in the future, you should get a tong removal tool. Although they are easy to put on, they can be difficult to take off if necessary. For some reason, I am unable to use the little tool to remove C clips. It is much easier to remove items with the tongs. There's no reason to ever use anything else since I've had no problems with any Sharkbite product I have used in the past. Their products are great for tight tight places where a soldering torch would be a little messy or even dangerous.

We're all about shark bite! You have been working too hard on your repairs and installations if you have never used SHARKBITE plumbing accessories and tools

people who are on top of their game. You can put them on anywhere you want as long as you have the right size and the right item. You will need to cut the water line, deburr the end and then slide on a Sharkbite connector, give it a quick pull in the opposite direction and you're done. Under a garden tub, I put two of these on in less than 15 minutes each. There are no leaks, no assembly tools, just a cutter and a deburring tool, both of which SharkBite Here we are at the easiest part of the process.

The installation process is quick and easy
5/5

A couple of years ago, I had a leaking shutoff valve at the toilet which was the only shutoff on the water line to the toilet. I loved Shark Bite products. So that I could change the valve at the toilet, I had to add a valve to the water line in the basement. In order to cut the water line, I had to shut off the water supply for the entire house. The water line was sanded to clean it before cutting, and once the pipe had been cut, the Shark Bite valve was installed in about 15 seconds. In the end, all the standing water ran out and I was able to get the valve closed before all the water even made it to the drain. I have not had any leaks since then, and it has worked The Shark Bite is much easier than soldering valve connections on before, as I have done it in the past. A problem with soldering the last connection is that it creates pressure in the pipe, which prevents the solder from flowing smoothly. By using the Shark Bite, this problem is eliminated, and since it is moist, no heat is required, which can be a problem They are highly recommended by me having used them a few times in the past. At the toilet, I also used another Shark Bite valve to eliminate the need to solder a new one as well.

It doesn't seem likely that it will There was a shut-off switch that I needed to install There was an existing copper water pipe that had an off valve in the middle that could not be soldered
3/5

As a result, SharkBite seemed like an obvious choice. To adjust the new valve, I had to cut a small piece of pipe (about 1 inch). In addition, I sanded the ends a little to remove any rough spots. In spite of this, I found pushing the pipe in place to be extremely difficult and required much more force than Thanks to my marking the pipe as instructed, I did not encounter any problems. Although I actually had to hit one end with a rubber hammer to force it. The idea of putting it all the way in was insane, but there was no other option. As I installed the valve, I discovered it could rotate around the tube. This was quite frightening! I do not have leaks, but I always hold the water valve when I shut off the water. I have been using it for two weeks now and I am satisfied with the results. I may give the application one or two stars if it does not fail in a longer time frame.

This is a great time saver
5/5

The software appears to work as expected. Orders are delivered within two days. I am very pleased with the results. I used it for the first time. A very awkward location to reach in the basement corner above a ledge required the use of this item. As a torch was unable to remove the old style shut off, the old shut off eventually had to be cut off with an oscillating saw (also purchased from I was very pleased with the results of this sharkbite. As soon as the copper pipe had been cleaned up, it slide right on and so far, there have been no leaks. We will definitely buy from this company wrong with these is that they are very expensive, so I might try another brand next time. It will be interesting to see how things turn out. The only reason I like this is it gets into an impossible place in an old house, other than the price. It's been a pleasure doing business with.
