That's exactly what I've been using it for, and so far it's been working well. The 1/4 inch braided line was run from the water supply to this valve, and then into the air conditioner
Even if I didn't know for sure, I doubt that the valve could stand up to a pressure level over ten times the normal pressure in the house. A valve like this one was designed for a normal water pressure of 50 to 80 pounds per square inch. It is likely that you will need a high pressure pump specifically designed for that.
Compression sleeves are used for copper tubing connections. Brass sleeves are called compression sleeves. Sealing the hole with water will make it water tight. It is the "O" that provides the seal on a stainless steel line.

On the line that goes from my refrigerator to my ice maker I would like to use this. The hoses on either end of this need to be male, so these need to be two on either This valve was fitted to the end of a 20 foot stretch of hose, and then a two foot hose was connected to the refrigerator after that. The pump under the sink has to be turned on and off every time I run the hose. I wanted water to flow through the hose and filter without having to do that. An adapter from a male to female is not available for this valve. It would also work better on copper water lines. It is not possible to find them lead-free.
It was used to connect an ice maker. In order for Home Depot to install the refrigerator, there must be a shutoff behind it. Installing a complex in-house solution would be a waste of time Installing this wall connection would cost thousands, but I thought I'd try it out- There were no problems with the product, and it met their needs. In addition, I have a shutoff in my basement right under the fridge. Wish it would hold up in the long run!.
I wish you best of luck,.
I drew the cold water line from the kitchen sink shut off valve to apply it to my refrigerator waterline. This was a perfect solution. For a water tight connection, one turn with a wrench followed by strong hand tightening was all that was needed. This was not cheap (if sold at local big name stores, it might cost between $5-$10 per item 8) for a simple device, but I had to use it because I was running out of time. My day would have been ruined without day shipping.
In order to install the refrigerator, the water line for the ice maker must be shut off within six feet of the fridge. My office building was 30 feet from mine, and a floor below it. My short piece of tubing was required to stop my old tube from flowing into the new tube, so I got that and I used it to connect the two together. In addition to Lowe's, I also shopped at Bed Bath & Beyond It's hard to find anything in this size at Home Depot. I was so happy to discover I was able to connect it to the router and it was working fine.
In response to This Brass Mini Ball Valve Shut Off Switch, 1/4 inch**orig (20210322), is for installation. It has a good weight to size ratio, and includes some Teflon tape, which is quite nice. Descriptions of macro products are not included in the table above. It may be possible to imprint "arrows" if one side is better than the other,,, I'll update the review once I have installed it.
My refrigerator is equipped with this brass ball valve in order to shut off its ice maker. The software was easy to set up and does what it promises. As there is no official lead content warning on the valve or packaging, and brass typically has a lead content warning on it, I wonder if it is really lead free. Wouldn't it look more like brass if it were darker?.
I used this valve on the following An adapter is attached to the copper water line to provide a shutoff Turn off the water without needing to run downstairs to turn it off each time you move With this valve, I provide a durable water line between a copper line and stainless steel hose. The handle has a smooth, drip-free surface and the valve has a sturdy design. An operation that is free of charge.
