We are dealing with a reducer here. By reducing 7" to 6", it offers a substantial amount of space savings.
Yes, I am. It will fit over the crimped reducer end of a standard 6" stovepipe.

As I am not very handy, I could not hire professionals to do the job because despite being in good shape, the stove itself did not meet the specs anymore. To save you $2000, I bought a new stovepipe for $150 - and it turned out I needed this to make it fit in the ceiling hole instead of spending $2000 on a new stove plus installation. The diameter at the end of the pipe was larger than the hole in the ceiling due to the telescopic function. Having the stove so far is making things much easier since the cold has set in.
At the end of the day, this fit okay, however the rivets came loose when attaching to the existing ceiling box and made it a bit difficult to screw it in Whatever the case may be, it did exactly what I needed, which was to reduce the piping to 6". I have a new wood stove that I use with it.
Construction looks fairly solid from the headline, plus, the headline pretty much sums it all up.
Because of some strange reason, it was very hard to get it on the stove, and the Ribbit had on the inside prevented it from going any further than ribbit, so I couldn't use it.
This tall reducing connector worked very well for me as a reducer between my overhead range hood and its flex vent pipe. It's space between the inlet and body accommodated the range hood's discharge damper accessory that required some clearance for the doors to open and close. This is a durable and well-made product. Unlike the inexpensive stamped steel available at big box stores, this is indestructible and will last a lifetime.
I guess that will solve the problem.
This heavy gauge would fit a flue up to 8" in diameter if reduced.
