The rubber hoses can't be used with these fittings, and you will need to use DOT air brake plastic hoses such as Synflex. The hose simply locks by pushing it in, no crimping to contend with, and by releasing the collar, it can be released. Air brake fittings are the standard for trucks with these systems.

The Eaton brand is well known for electrical fittings and mounting boxes sold in big box stores. As opposed to the other chinesium you see on the site, I believe them when they say these are DOT certified. I had problems with the cheap fittings I got from the same manufacturer as my tubing. With these, every issue was solved. All of them are metal and constructed in a completely different way, so the same There are clean, right-angle cuts but in the beginning I do not anticipate any problems. And teflon threads are far superior to the loose fittings made from white paint on the other guy's shop. These are three of the items I have purchased. Among the first two tubes I ordered together, only one was the correct 1/4 tube by 1/8 NTP size. There was also a 3/8 tube by 1/4 NPT one.
