Questions & Answers

What do you think of the "push to connect"?

Yes, I am. There is friction between the two surfaces. When I use tubing, I use the male inserts with barbed ends. The ring needs to be pushed in to release it. Some times it takes a long time for the release to take place. Having used John Guest fittings under pressure and vacuum is no problem. To achieve a tight fit with the same outside diameter and wall thickness, you can use rigid wall tubing.

After I had to remove a leaky section of my refrigerator water line tube, I used one to splice it back together. I used to have water flow, but now it does not anymore. Could you please tell me what's ?

You should attempt to remove and inspect the connector to ensure it is not blocked, which would prevent the flow of water. You should make sure water is flowing from the line ahead where you placed the connector when you take the connector off. In addition, blow out the line below the area where you installed the connectors. There are steps I would take to repair your issue, but I am not sure if they will work.

Do you know if this is compatible ?

An O-ring and these adapters are held together by friction Stack rings. As well as John Guest adapters, I have used this fitting with Teflon tubing, Tygon with an insert to keep its shape, and other tubing materials. If there are no chemical issues here, it is merely a question of whether your cpvc tubing is rigid and of the right outer diameter to fit correctly. Having found an air-conditioning system, I prefer it If you try using just tubing, you will get tight fits. As long as you clamp the barb to keep your connection airtight, the John Guest barbed inserts can be used with all types of tubing.

What is the temperature when the system is operating?

If you are willing to put in the effort, you can find it for Based on the product specs, you can learn that the fitting is NSF/ANSI certified accordingly to When searching online, you will find The following information can be found on a PDF file for these ANSI standards This is an official NSF/ANSI 61 *br>2016 NSF *br> I have a 2016 17 *br>4 and I hope everyone has good days. 1. *br> Definitions 2. Any time in which hot water is in contact with the skin aside from continuous contact constitutes intermittent exposure. Tests are conducted to determine whether the product meets the intended purpose Temperature of 60 * 2°C (140 + 4°F) is considered to be the use temperature, therefore the fittings should hold up to those You may experience different results depending on what tubing you are using and how much pressure is present in the lines. In the Amazon description, it is mentioned that the fittings were tested up to 150 pounds per square inch, but that they are silent at temperatures above zero. If you do more research to find a definition that specifies max pressure to a given temperature, you may find it. You can search Google on NSF/ANSI 61- I don't believe I can place the link in this message, but I found it in Components of the 2016 Drinking Water System You can find the PDF file by searching under Health Effects and then pressing pressure to see if that is included.

This will repair your fridge line
5/5

I used this technique with a new line for the back of my fridge (which leaked for months and ruined our kitchen). You won't have any leaks anymore.

It is durable

The extra cost of these connectors is well worth it due to their heavy-duty construction.

Whenever you want to join two or more pieces of poly
5/5

Compression sleeves are ineffective when you want to join a few pieces of poly tubing and do not want to worry about the potential leaks that compression sleeves can cause. There are solutions to these problems. The tubing slides right in and I have never.

I love it
5/5

It's so easy to use and works so well. Due to an otherwise tiny and invisible spit, there was a leak on the back of a refrigerator. I was extremely impressed with the performance of this tube coupler. It took me a few minutes to clip out the bad section and rejoin the tubing ends. few seconds were required for this process to be completed. It is exactly what I expected and does so much better than I thought it would.

I'd recommend it to anyone. They work great. The same products can be obtained from discount stores for less money, but they might not be as effective.

This is a tube connector
5/5

I have no complaints about the product. It performed just as described. Getting the tube attached and taking it off is easy. All I needed was one, so I had to buy a bag of ten to get one, but that wasn't a problem.
