With two of these, an Anderson Metals Brass Pipe Fitting, Coupling, and a 1/4" stainless steel ball bearing, you can make a one-way (check) valve for 1/4" pipe. Just use a dremel to cut across one of these ends. If you find yourself in need of a check valve that doesn't have a spring, as I did, it's useful.
