These guys need to find a stainless steel fabrication shop that knows how to make a tri-fold door. clamp. I ordered a half-dozen clamps, but they were all the same, which was disappointing. The pin that holds the sides together is small and cheap, the threads are shoddy, and the "wing nut" is minuscule. I'm not going to touch these clamps at all. br>br>It's almost as if the fabricator had never seen a real tri-fold before. "Sure, I can make one of those," he said, having only seen a grainy picture of one before. "It's more likely that someone in the store decided to save a buck. " 01 on steel by constructing a shoddy triathlon clamp. But I still believe the grainy image theory is correct. br>br>I'm writing this review to remind myself not to order this one again. Thank you! br>br>.
The other reviewer is correct in stating that they are inexpensive; however, the wingnut portion is too small and difficult to rotate. In addition, the threads aren't particularly smooth. The threaded section is also too short, and the stupid handles are constantly falling off. I didn't think a tri-fecta was possible. I didn't think one clamp would be better than another, but I'm sorry I bought these. I die a little inside every time I take one of these from the pile, so I'd recommend spending a few more dollars on something else.
The job is done with clamps. I was in need of a couple more 1. 5" tri- clamps for my fermenters in the shape of a cone I received the clamps and they appear to be well made, but I wouldn't describe them as "heavy duty. " These clamps have a much lighter "gauge" than previous models I've purchased at a much higher price, so they work just fine for the price; however, I'm not sure I'd be completely comfortable using them in a professional/heavily used production environment. (Clamp on the left) Dernord's top clamp is vs. "heavy- duty).
My only problem is that I would not have bought them if I had known about it sooner. They don't include gaskets like the others I've bought. Purchasing gaskets that will arrive in a timely manner will cost nearly twice as much as these clamps, and purchasing a set with the gaskets would have cost about two dollars more. br>br>If you want a set with gaskets, look elsewhere.
The clamps appear to be in good working order, but I'll have to wait and see. There were no gaskets included. I suppose I should have read more carefully and looked more closely before making a guess.
Simple things that worked well.
Work in the same way as the high-priced versions.
