They're made of aluminum, and the set screws put a nice dent in them when I used them on a couple stereo amps.

connections to gauge amps These are ideal because they are the right size and help keep connections neat and repeatable while preventing fraying and wire breakage. It's as simple as slipping them on and tightening the terminal. It is simple to disconnect and reconnect. Use with a heat shrink tube for a professional appearance.
It's something I've been doing for the past 20 years.

It was a piece of cake to hook up my amplifier. I'll never have to buy them again because they come in a 50-pack. It was a tight fit for the 4 AWG welding wire I was using, so if your wire is too large, you may need to measure the wire's width inside the sheathing. It's a tight fit because you only have 59" to work with.
These ferrules are adequate for the job, but some of the higher-quality 4 gauge wire I have will not work without some copper trimming.
They're very thin and perfectly rounded, and they fit into the 4ga hole perfectly.
If you use these items, this is an excellent product. With these and a piece of heat shrink over the lip, you'll have a nice removable wire with no strands left out if everything is put together correctly.
I would strongly suggest it.
