This is an excellent tool for checking the pressure in your car's air conditioning system. It can also be used for air conditioners in the home. It's very simple to use and gives you accurate pressure readings. The quality is excellent, and the touch screen is sensitive enough for everyday use. The phone's apps work well, though the gauges are displayed in reverse, with the high on the left and the low on the right of the phone screen. High-quality valves and hoses are used. The bag comes in handy for keeping all of the pieces together.
Last year, I purchased these gauges and used them to evacuate and charge a commercial 20-foot inflatable boat. ton unit. I was charging it in preparation for the upcoming season, but when I took out the USB charger, the female header in the unit came out with it. I'm not able to charge it any longer. I'll pay to have it fixed, but there's no easy way for me to get in touch with Yellow Jacket.
It could be better. In the dead of winter, how do you work on a heat pump?.
It's not as big as it appears, but it's precise and dependable. The bag is poorly constructed and poorly thought out.
Gauges should be discarded. When I bought my manifold, the display stopped working. Micron gauge sucks. Bluetooth sucks. They were warranted, and they simply did what they were supposed to do when the display stopped working. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY ON THIS WRONG PRODUCT. Purchase of field piece probes is highly recommended. They've never let me down and are by far the best.
Okay, I've had these gauges for about a year now. And look after them well, but I've had a few issues with yellowjacket's temperature clamps. It's beyond me why they don't simply pair these units with K type thermal couple clamps (like the ones they already make). The clamps have broken a few times for me. When I looked into wireless clamps the last time, I discovered that I needed to update the firmware in order for them to work. And because the firmware update for the Yellow Jackets does not support Mac or can be done through the app, I'll have to find someone with a Windows PC to login and update my manifold. I feel like I'm back in the year 1998. Don't get me wrong, the touch screen is cool, and the pressure test and vacuum functions are fantastic. However, if I spend $700 on something, the accessories ($50 clamps) should be just as durable as the manifold. When my clamp broke the first time, Yellow Jacket demanded that I return the entire manifold, including the clamps and all, in order to receive a refund. I suppose I should have expected more from a well-known corporation.
Extremely precise and long-lasting Yes, the charging port is delicate, but it is not a problem if you pay close attention to it. Mine broke early on because I was charging it and not paying attention to the pressure on the cord; I returned it to Yellow Jacket through my dealer, and they repaired it for free. Since that time, there have been no problems. br>The vacuum/micron gauge that comes with it, like all of them, needs to be replaced on a regular basis. The vacuum sensor has a relatively high replacement cost when compared to other sensors, but it is extremely accurate. br>Overall, I've been pleased with this product; it does, however, require some maintenance, and it would be beneficial if the charging port were relocated to a less vulnerable location.
but. Good set. The charging port, on the other hand, is extremely fragile and will easily break. The gauges themselves are in perfect working order. They are very accurate, and the touchscreen feature is very useful; however, the charging port could be a little more sturdy, and I would give them more stars. This is a problem that Yellow Jacket must address.
