That is NOT what you will receive. Everything needed to be filed. br>Because the NPT holes aren't tapped all the way through, a flush pipe plug protrudes like three threads. (I'm a machinist, and I've tapped a few holes in the past. ) Also. . . . br> And this is a problem because the holes have a flat bottom, which means that when you make the final turn / index the fittings to the correct orientation, you will most likely bottom out and leak. br>I resolved these issues to the best of my abilities. . . but I wasted time when this was supposed to save me time. Chineseum.
The block does exactly what it says on the tin. The thread, on the other hand, does not appear to be NPT. To keep the fittings from leaking, I had to use a lot of Teflon thread tape and a lot of pipe sealant. In the holes, the fittings come to a halt.
Toyota Tacoma compressor kit for the bed side. After doing some research, I discovered this manifold, which fits perfectly into an expedition essentials ARB bedside compressor kit. This allowed me to use the manifold to feed multiple systems. Tire air down and up system, air tank feed, airbag feed, air horn feed, air chuck feed Feed for the air pressure gauge.
Galvanic corrosion should be avoided. After I bought these nice guys, I discovered that they were made of aluminum. and some of the components in my system are made of copper. Galvanic corrosion is a type of corrosion that occurs when two metals come into contact with each So keep that in mind if you buy these guys. br>I like these parts, they're really nice.
Is it possible for me to give a zero-star rating? I purchased three of these for use in my garage as compressed air outlets. The 1/2" female pipe threaded ports on the ends have all been machined to be too large. With only 100 psi on my system, I added extra wraps of thread tape and a good quality thread paste, but they still leak. In the block, the fittings are completely buried. With leaks like mine, the compressor will run too frequently; I wish I could get a refund, but the return window has passed.
This is a manifold that I do not recommend. Manufacturing's quality control was appalling. I couldn't get more than one turn on anything because the threads were all galled.
I am extremely happy. Compact size, simple installation, recessed mounting holes, good port spacing, variable port sizes, and no leaks. I'd buy it again. br>br>.
The manifold still leaks, even with Teflon tape. It leaks from the top and bottom 1/2" inputs in the video, but not from the 1/4" holes, which are also covered with Teflon tape. Whatever you think of PEX, it isn't the source of the leak.
