Anyone else concerned about securing their sounding rig to the bottom of their trolling motor with a nylon zip tie? Right in front of a rotating propeller. Is this a good idea? I decided on a Stainless Steel clamp because it seemed like an accident waiting to happen. My Garmin Striker 4 Built-in GPS Fish Finder threaded flawlessly through the included mount. To protect the paint and the provided rubber pad under the sender, I wrapped the motor in heavy black aviation tape. Now I'm confident that my sounder wire won't get tangled up in my prop. LOLbr>I even have a spare in case I need it in the future.
For those who don't know, you loosen and unattach the other side of the ring by unscrewing the screw. You tighten it by turning the right screw clockwise; I assumed you could just feed the other side through, but the entire device is controlled by the screw. I hope that this information was useful to someone and that they did not waste an hour trying to figure it out. Instructions, on the other hand, are more appealing to me.
Light and airy! They aren't equipped with a standard 5/16 drive. I had to use a Phillips screwdriver, which you can't get as tight as you can with a regular screwdriver. Very flimsy, made in China, and not up to par with other hose clamps I've tried. I would not buy this product again or recommend it to anyone.
This was going to be used to secure hardware cloth to PVC in order to keep rodents out. This clamp is unlikely to last longer than a month. I should have known better than to purchase something made in China from an Amazon third-party seller at this point. It's a complete waste of time and money - I need to go to my local big-box retailer.
I'm not sure how long they'll last, but for the price, I couldn't pass these up!.
As we as nature, I've been abusing my centrifugal force by using these clamps as driveshaft counterweights. Clamps are in good shape, with no rust and holding strength that has been maintained over the course of 30,000 miles. br>If you found this information helpful, please click the helpful button.
I purchased a two-bedroom apartment with two bathrooms. pack. One worked perfectly, while the other lacked sufficient grip to tighten it; The band, on the other hand, kept bouncing off the equipment.
Only one of the two items was sent to me. The bag inside the shipping bag had a hole in it, and the other clamp appeared to have been removed! I ultimately decided to return it and receive a refund.
