This clamp from Oetiker has an ID of A 5 mm thick piece of metal. Consequently, if the outside diameter of your tube is 18, the tube will need a 18W motor. A clamp that is slightly larger than the outside diameter of the tube is required if the tube is greater than 5 mm.

On my sailboat pressure water system I will be using this to install some semi-permanent clamps. My first experience with shark bite clamps came from purchasing a small kit from a local vendor. I bought ones that were able to fit over 1/2 inch ID hoses. Comparing these to actual stainless hose clamps, these are a good deal.
There must have been an update on Amazon's listing to include the range of inner diameters for these Oetiker Those were perfect for hoses with a 3/8" outside diameter.

I switched from using brass ferrules on my air hoses to using this clamp after I repaired my first one. Making hoses this way is a great idea for repairs or even making new ones.
I use these for an application that works very well. This design is perfect for tubing with barb fittings up to 1/2".
In my case, I used them on a 5/8 supply line of a drip irrigation system with barbed connectors and they worked great.
