Will this 075F fitting leak if I connect it to a different brand of fitting or a banjo garden hose fitting?

My guess is that it would leak, unless the mating surfaces have identical contours by chance; I would expect that different manufacturers have designed their fittings differently, rather than to a standard, with the exception of pipe threads, of course.

Is it correct that the threaded end of this is 3/4?

It's made of 3/4" *pipe thread* (National Pipe Thread) and fits into a 3/4" pipe female thread. The threads have a slight taper and will be about 1.25 inches long. With a diameter of 0.05 inches and a thread count of 14 per inch, this is a great option.

The best there is

I've tried other quick connects and Banjo knockoffs, but these are the best. I've used the larger sizes for years and love them, but these smaller ones in 3/4" are very nice for smaller hosing on items you frequently disassemble. The price is reasonable, and while hose clamps may be less expensive, if frequent disassembly is required, these quickly pay for themselves in time saved. It's not necessary to bring a screwdriver or a wrench with you. I bought the larger ones at the farm store, but they didn't have the smaller ones. My only gripe was that a few types in this size required a couple of weeks' lead time.

It's simple to use, it seals well, and it doesn't obstruct flow. br>br>When used on the suction side of a roller pump, this fitting allows for quick tank draining as well as an easy way to lubricate the pump before storing it.
