It clicks into place with a satisfying snap. It's not going to come crashing down. I've reordered for a second application (both inset into walls, but a cabinet would work well as well). If the hole you drill is too big, simply shim it with black electrical tape.
No, the 2" model requires you to be around 2" tall, and the 2" model requires you to be about 2" tall. 375" for the first, and 375" for the second. "Model 375"
Yes, a 3- The prong plug will fit, but you'll have to remove and reinstall the cap.
I believe I drilled my desk at 2" and that should suffice.

These were purchased for a desk I was building in my wife's craft room, so we could run cords through it rather than having to put a space behind it. They fit perfectly, open and close smoothly, and do everything they claim to do. The reason I gave four stars instead of five is that they don't have a rubber grommet around them to keep them from slipping out of the holes when you pull on a cord or run a new cord through, so you have to re-attach them. Every time, they should be seated.
These are extremely useful and perfectly match my needs. br>br>The bristles do a good job of keeping cables from falling through the hole in a desk top, and they also do a good job of keeping excess dust and debris out of the area where some cables exit a case in another application I used them for. Overall, they are a little pricey for the quality, but they work, and that is what counts!br>br>Recommended!.
Excellent product, which I ordered twice for different projects where I needed to install into the wall to allow wires to pass cleanly behind wall-mounted TVs. I ended up wrapping the grommet with electric tape to increase the width and make it perfectly snug with a 2" hole saw. The brush cover snaps in and out easily. It's well-made and gets the job done.
The grommets were easy to install and fit perfectly in the holes I drilled. The desk appears to be very professional, and the neatly routed cables help as well.
They're simple to put together (with the help of a hole saw) and they look great. The delivery was prompt and accurate.
