The answer isn't really clear. Our floor drain was made out of it

The plug is used as a permanent curb box plug. This flush design has a low profile and is good.

There is no better plug for cleaning out drains! There has NEVER been a better plug than this one! Every one of them has worked for me

I found this one to be very effective. Zurn LCP and that was a waste of time! I think the party was nice, but it didn't seem like it was going to last. This gripped the space and has been working well.
