I'm not sure I remember. I believe it was smooth on the inside, and for the price, I was very pleased with it; it looks great on the outside and is heavier than I anticipated.

There are scratches and black specks on the surface

The design and size of this item are ideal, especially for the price, but there were several scratches on the cup as well as numerous black specs throughout that I was not expecting. I was planning on giving this as a present, but I'm reconsidering. Shame.

This product is used for HOLY COMMUNION on a daily basis for me. When I pour my juice into the cup, I notice that the cup cools down and the drink stays cold. This is a feature of the cup that I like.
