Kegco EBDCK2-542-2_NT Deluxe Two Keg Door Mount Kegerator Conversion Kit No Tank

This was a birthday present for my husband, so I bought it for our garage fridge. He loved it. Except for the hose clamps, every component is of excellent quality. Because the plastic hose clamps were insufficient and difficult to tighten, we had a small gas leak. It's a simple fix with a few hardware store metal hose clamps, but that's the only reason I docked one star. Upgrade the clamps to match the rest of the kit's quality, and it'll be a 5 star product!br>br>Be aware that most CO2 carriers (at least near us) want you to trade in your tank, and few offer refills of the one you have, which has been a pain for us because we have a fancy fun tank that we don't want to trade in for an old beat up one. In retrospect, I should have bought the kit without the fancy tank and traded it in at our local supplier. It would be so much easier to simply grab a trade rather than driving to a location that fills them and waiting. It's not a criticism of the manufacturer; it's just something to consider if you're planning to install a kegerator.

The next few pours will be fine after the first, and after you've finished your delicious Budweiser, the faucet will have returned to room temperature, and you'll get an initial foamy first glass. A simple fix is to open the faucet for about 1 1/2 seconds and then immediately dump the foam out; your pour will then be fine. I've worked in the beer industry for 25 years, and sudden temperature changes seem to be the most common cause of bad pours. Maintain a low pressure, such as four psi, and sacrifice an ounce or two of foam on your first pour. You'll be smiling as the beer flows.

The package was well-packaged and undamaged when it arrived. With the exception of the Co2 canister, each component was neatly packaged and arrived as expected. It was supposed to come with the Premium Red Epoxy canister, but I got the plain Aluminum canister instead. According to the description of the item: "5 pound Kegco Kegco Kegco Kegco Kegco Kegco Kegco Keg This eye-catching CO2 tank is made of aluminum. The high-strength aluminum alloy 6061-T6 is used to make the CO2 tank. T6, with an electric red glossy powder coated epoxy finish that adds an extra layer of corrosion and wear resistance. "br>br>I'm a little disappointed with this because it's a Premium Kit that should have arrived as described.

I was disappointed that even though I paid for expedited shipping, it took a week to arrive. The tank gauge was cracked when we got there. So I called, and a replacement gauge was sent out within two days. br> Because my husband has the tools, installing the kit into our ready-to-use refrigerator was simple. All it took for the shank was a drill and a 1 inch hole saw, and it went through without a hitch. For less than $20, we got a CO2 bottle filled and a 1/2 keg of (insert favorite beer name here) at a local welding supply. It took him a long time to get the pressure on the keg to equalize and remain constant at 12 PSI. We came to the conclusion that it was because we brought the keg in, put it in the fridge, hooked it up, turned on the gas, got it to the recommended pressure, and then got FOAM. Allow an hour or two for the keg to settle before using. I would strongly advise anyone who enjoys draught beer from home to purchase this item.

We went through a lot of bottles in the summer, especially. It was becoming a chore to schlep from the store to the recycling facility. I placed the order, we purchased a CO2 bottle from a beverage store, and my incredibly handy boyfriend installed it. I'm now the best girlfriend in the history of the world! Maintain clean lines and keep an extra keg chilled during the summer.

This review is provided with the following disclaimers: This is something I've never done before; I made a kegerator out of a refrigerator for the first time. br>Easy to install, but leaked because it didn't sit well at the keg. It was necessary for me to re-write I had to re-seat this a few times before it was properly seated and didn't leak. This would not have been a problem if gaskets had been included. I've had it installed for a few weeks and have had no problems. br>Highly recommended, though gaskets would have been a nice addition.

The kit is fantastic in and of itself. It's of good quality, and it even includes a drip tray, which is useful. trust me. The issue is that the shank part was missing when it arrived. the part that passes through the refrigerator door This is a VERY IMPORTANT PART. It's useless without it as a kegerator kit. I'm working with Amazon to figure out how to make things right, and I'll update my review as soon as possible. After a preliminary examination of the rest of the kit. It is of excellent quality. As of right now, it's completely useless.

The image of the contents on display appears to be deceiving. The clear tube with the hex connector, as well as the metal o-ring, are not included. clamps. Because of the incompleteness, I returned the original package; however, the replacement was an exact match, so don't expect a full package. I went ahead and ordered the clear tube, which costs about $10 more, so it's not a big deal, and the price here is better than anywhere else, but be cautious. br>br>[UPDATE]br>After contacting customer service, an investigation was initiated, and I was able to return the second incomplete package and receive a fully completed package. As a result, I've now upgraded to 5-star rating. stars.
