I find it useful and practical as a scoop for my refrigerator ice tray even though I don't know what you mean by genuine. In cases where I need cold water and would like to scoop out more than a handful of ice cubes, this scoop is sturdy and works well. It is larger, not a candy size that would fit into a jar, so I leave it in the ice tray all the time and use it every time I need ice. I don't think you will be disappointed with the quality of the product. It may help if you read this.

In order to serve my dog food, I transfer it to an 8 lb bag since I do not like serving it up from the large bags. There has been a search for years for the perfect scoop, and it's here! The scoop gets enough with each scoop so the work isn't tedious, but doesn't spill over the sides and funnels it nicely into the container. The empty bag funnel is used to hold the bag open when I use it with a wide mouth bag funnel. You can keep it clean and it's light.
I was pleased with the finish, prior to cleaning. The scoop was not supplied with cleaning instructions, so we all simply placed it in the dishwasher after it was first used. All of the beautiful exterior finish was removed when we cleaned the dishwasher. In our opinion, this was a mistake on our part because the brand's recommended cleaning method could have been found. I disposed of the product after washing in the dishwasher, since it was no longer usable after it was cleaned.
There is no way to wash these in a In the first use, you will notice that the shiny finish rubs right off, leaving you with a dull gray residue that will rub off on anything it rubs against.
I am aware that the description does not explicitly state whether it's DW-safe, but it also does not state that it is not- If it is advertised that a food utensil is "commercial grade quality", I expect it to withstand a trip through a dishwasher at least once.
I found the handle to be wayyy to short and to thin, but another scoop made in the USA offers the same features. Check out the Little Giant 3 qt feed scoop! I feel much better now.
Other things could be done with it as well. As well as this one, I also ordered Crestware, New Star, and The four scoops were identical and looked to have been molded from the same casting mold. Everything that is cast in each scoop is identical from one to the next. It seems the only difference is that Crestware and New Star have stickers attached to their products and Winco stamps their name on them. This one did not have stickers or stamps, it was just in a plastic bag, but it also works well, same as the other two.
This bin is the perfect size for my trash can and is I find it to be extremely useful for my purposes. The two of them are mine.
This seems to be a high-quality product. I will update the review if it continues to hold up.
