The paddle's spade measures about 9" x 5", with the 9" length tapering to the handle or stick's diameter. The spade's end is essentially straight across, with some side rounding. My grinder was reground to fit the inside contour of my Globe 8-quart mixer bowl. This is how I get stiff dough out of a bowl. A standard spatula is insufficiently strong and leveraged. Even though the handle could be a little longer for leverage, it is already a substantial item.

The welds are absolute garbage, as many other reviews have stated, and will be impossible to clean. It's a pity because the paddle is quite nice and sturdy. If the manufacturer learned to weld, this could be a fantastic product. It will be simple to repair if you can weld stainless steel; otherwise, look for something else or hope you get a better one than I did.
The quality is excellent, and the finish is silky smooth. Because the paddle head is quite large and heavy, and the handle bar is light (but sturdy), adding a longer overall unit will not add too much weight. In general, this is a fantastic product.
It was purchased to be used with an 80-quart put and it worked perfectly.
The price is justified, and the product performs admirably.
Soup is made in large vats for me. This paddle has become my new kitchen assistant. Love it.
We prepare meals for a large number of people. This is ideal for breaking up a large pot of chili meat.
I needed something to stir a large cook pot, and this was exactly what I needed. The paddle is a good option.
After a few years, the blade is cracking. For the $9 I paid, I got a lot of use out of it.
