Thank you for taking the time to contact us. The average life expectancy is expected to be around three years. months.
Pleat is paper with wire over it sometimes, but not always. Spun is smooth on the outside, woven is like a continuous string, and pleat is sometimes, but not always, paper with wire over it. The 5005br>is good for most uses; carbon or black is for strong odors, and woven is for sediment sand or fine silt. hope this helps.br>gene
I never did, but the water was filtered. Some of the filters are a little longer than others, and I believe the shorter ones have rubber washers on the ends to compensate.
Pentair, which has manufacturing facilities in the United States as well as other countries around the world, produces these. These filters are currently manufactured in-house at our Pentair facility in China (as of January 2020).

With iron sediment, the 100 turns black, as does this one, the 50/5, but the last one, the 25/1, remains white, indicating that the 50/5 is functioning. Look at the image.
I've tried a lot of different brands of filters, and this one is one of the best for the sale price of under $10, in my opinion. As you can see in the attached image, this filter is very effective.
These filters are exceptional. Mine have lasted 9 months or longer (and there has been no reduction in flow). They don't have the same surface load as pleated ones. They also have a filter rating that is finer. We have a CoOp water system, and our water comes from Lake Cypress Springs in East Texas. We have some sand and algae in our water, which these filters remove, and they last a long time. I will no longer buy pleated filters, as these spun filters are far superior. br>This photo was taken after 9 months of service, with a new filter still in the wrapping. I replaced this filter because I was concerned about how long it had been in use, rather than because there was a reduction in water flow.
They should fit my 10" big blue filter housing (assuming it's all Pentek). It's a two-stage filter that removes contaminants from my well water that I don't want to drink and/or get into my fixtures and appliances. I chose the 25/1 micron filter because we have some iron bacteria, and the majority of bacteria should be filtered out at 1 micron. I usually replace these at 6 months, but that's probably far too soon. I've got pressure gauges before and after my filters, and I've never noticed a drop in pressure.
Filter is great! Because I couldn't see any dirt accumulated in the clear filter housing, I initially assumed the filter didn't work. When I contacted Pentek, they informed me that the filter traps sediment deep within the first layer and uses the trapped sediment to aid in the filtering process. After 3 months of use, I removed the filter and found it to be completely packed with sediment. Several times as much as the Whirlpool filters I had been using. My wife has also noticed a significant reduction in the amount of deposits in our sink and toilet. This was well worth the money spent. I'm currently enrolled in a program that sends me packages on a regular basis.
A 240-foot-deep well serves our needs. The water was solid brown when I removed the filter after three months, despite our belief that it was pure. Even with the dirty filter, I get an excellent 10 particles when I test the water inside. Because this is a 1% filter, it truly removes all impurities from the water including fine sand and dirt. The filter does an excellent job, especially in comparison to filters with lesser% It's well-made and does a fantastic job.
This product is good, but due to Amazon's political bias, I found a similar product at Walmart for half the price. br>br>Thank you.
This is an excellent whole-house filter. We're on a well in the middle of nowhere. There was no pressure drop that we noticed. After two months and four people in the house, I finally had to replace it. It is, without a doubt, performing its function. I installed a three-stage big blue filter system, followed by a pH neutralizer, and finally a UV system because it was full of silt all the way down to the inner layers near the 1 micron size. The first chamber contains a 30 micron sediment filter that can be washed. Today I decluttered it; After two months, it was quite filthy. This cartridge is the second big blue. The final big blue is a 10 micron charcoal file, which can't be washed but has lasted for over two months. I'm going to order another one soon so we'll be ready if our water pressure drops unexpectedly. I do, however, have by- I don't want to use the passes built into the filtration system unless they're absolutely necessary.
