If your compressor has a 1/2-inch female iron pipe thread (FIP), it should fit perfectly. If you're not sure, you can always go to a big box store's plumbing department and buy a 2 inch long 1/2 inch pipe nipple to take home. The Solberg should fit if the nipple screws into the compressor. Pick up some teflon tape for the threads while you're at the big box store.
If the old breather had a 1/2" pipe thread, then yes. br>On the inside, there is a paper filter that can be easily replaced. To help with the "big" stuff, I added a scrap of fabric.
It will fit if your compressor has a 1/2" female pipe thread in the inlet; mine is on a 60 gallon tank. Campbell Hausfeld is a tall man.
The ridgid appears to have 1/2 mpt threads as well, so I believe this will fit.

This isn't a cheap Chinese knockoff of a Filter Housing. I had to look for a long time before I found a usable air compressor inlet filter. Don't even get me started on the junk filters available, which are questionable at best and will break your compressor at worst. I was unable to locate the filter alone. I was only able to locate the filter and housing. My HF filter, like the three replacements they sent me after two failed attempts, was defective. They were all shoddy and prone to leaking. br>br>This filter housing is of high quality and should last for many years. The 06 denotes Solberg filter size 06. FS stands for Filter with Silencer (a small plastic inlet to deflect sound). I had to go to the Solberg website to double-check that I could get extra filters in the right size, and the Amazon description could use that information to sell more filters. This one is significantly bigger than the one that came with my HF oiled compressor. br>br>Overall, impressed (standard severely lowered due to Chinese junk products imported by sleazy American importers) and highly recommended for your compressor. Keep a close eye on the CFM and thread size.
compressor with a capacity of gallon I decided to give this filter silencer a try on my Harbor Freight oil-filtering system after reading some positive reviews. lubricated lubricated lubrication lubrication lubric compressor with a capacity of gallon There isn't much of a difference with this silencer, and other Harbor Freight compressor owners have said the same thing in the reviews. When it comes to noise, it's probably safe to say that the compressor, not this silencer, is to blame.
Of course compressors are loud, that's just how they are, but anyone who knows them knows how loud the intake can be and how the air it sucks in adds a ton of extra noise, and this filter sure enough makes a difference and gets rid of probably half of that noisey intake noise, and I can now actually talk next to my compressor and hear myself lol just don't expect it to silence the actual noise the motor makes while pumping air, it'll only quiet the intake noise, and This reduces noise in the same way that plugging up an old filter housing does, but it still allows plenty of air to pass through and does not restrict it.
I'm replacing the same filter in my Jeep's on-board computer. Only because the previous one, which I had for 7 years, was smashed into the hood when I broke a motor mount, did I build a board air compressor (from a junkyard York 210). I couldn't say enough good things about this Solberg filter, and judging by the dents on the underside of my hood, it did its job admirably. I could have bent the old one back into shape to keep the cover in place, but it tore the metal where the threaded outlet meets the filter body. This time, I'm going to add some extra plumbing to lower the filter and move it away from the hood. br>br>The York compressor has a slightly higher pitched whine without the filter, so it appears that this filter has some noise-suppression qualities, but that was not my primary reason for buying it - I don't want air that hasn't been filtered to enter my compressor! br>br>I didn't realize it came with the filter media already installed, so I went out and bought another one based on Amazon's "Frequently Bought Together" recommendation, but oh well - I guess I'll have to make do with a spare now.
It's well worth it! The design and construction quality are excellent. This is not a low-cost import; the steel is of good quality. The air inlet is a tuned port that reduces noise by smoothing out the intake pulses. Of course, it doesn't reduce mechanical noise, but I had no idea how much of my compressor's noise came from the inlet! I simply wanted a filter and was pleasantly surprised at how much the noise level was reduced. There are no obvious limitations. The unit is small and simple to set up. It's a huge improvement over the broken plastic OEM filter housing it replaced. There isn't anything negative to say. br>br>And it's only a few dollars more than the knockoffs from China! Do not be hesitant. Get the genuine article. You'll be glad you took the time to do so.
It made a huge difference in reducing intake noise; I have a twin piston 30 gallon compressor that was already quiet, but now it's even quieter. I didn't think to take db readings before and after, but the volume reduction is quite noticeable. This is a must-have if you frequently work near your compressor.
I bought two and mounted them on a TEE, so you can now have a conversation next to my compressor without yelling. Air flow for intake has been slightly reduced since I'm running 2. Very happy and pretty sweet.
This was used to replace a. This is an excellent filter. On a craftsman 26 gallon upright, I used this to replace a small one. On this one, I used a couple of pieces of steel tube to convert from a 3/8 to a 1/2 inlet.
