Questions & Answers

Are there any oil filters included in this system?

The answer is yes and no Not at all. There will be some oil left in the line when it is used. In the same vein, this type of filter is not designed to deal with the oils that are commonly You would need a multi stage filtration system to accomplish the best results, such as for painting.

Can you tell me what the orange slide button does?

Cups are held in place by this mechanism. You can release the cup by pushing up on the orange latch, turning the cup counterclockwise, and pulling it up.

It did not come with instructions when I ordered it. If the bowl (orange release button) needs to be removed, why would it be so?

You unlock the device by pressing the Orange Having a rubber oring on the bowl ensures that it stays put pretty well. In response to your question, you should replace or clean the filter after you clean the bowl. Every time you do that, you might want to put a light coating of oil around the oring so it doesn't become It is my hope that this helps.

What are the possibilities of adding a drain hose ?

It can be drained somewhere else than the floor by putting a clear rubber tube on it.

This compact filter packs a powerful punch! In a nutshell There is SUCH power in this little filter that you can EASILY see that it is working
5/5

The filter is located between my compressor pump and tank so that moisture can be removed from the air before it gets to Upon arrival, the filter I bought from another brand began to leak. It is flawlessly capable of filtering NANPU signals. As a whole, I recommend this filter and brand. They seem to produce high quality parts at a very good price. With no pressure applied, the bottom vent is open, but once you apply pressure, Despite low pressures, I did not find any leaks. The valve opens once the pressure has been relieved again, and the water can be drained. By pressing up on the valve you can release the water if the water in the bowl has accumulated above the line. This is a very simple design, but it works very You've already read this far, so don't waste any more time. Buy the damn filter! Invest the time and effort.

This is used as an oil catch can in an engine with two of them mounted in series
5/5

I installed two of these in a BMW E92 N54 335i engine. There are twins in the twin-dom Turbines pull so much oil vapor from the crankcase that oil condenses throughout the intake system at an alarming rate. The resulting thick, rubbery sludge eventually blocks the intake ports severely enough to cause severe performance issues, especially when driving at idle and low RPM. After 130k miles, I cleaned the entire intake system, including the intake valves and ports, the intake manifold, the throttle body, the turbo pipes, the diverter valves, and the The job was HORRIBLE, and I would never wish to relive it. To fix my oil condensing problem, I set up an oil catch can system in my In addition to the low price of this filter, the bowl makes it easy to see how much oil is being collected, and it has a valve at the bottom to let me drain the oil without having to remove Nevertheless, a change must be made to this valve as, by default, the spring holds the valve closed until pressure builds up on the filter. There is only 6 psi turbo boost, which is not enough to keep the valve shut, so oil dribbles even if the motor is not running. In order to solve this, I placed the spring from the inside to the outside of the bowl, so that the valve is closed by default. Now, the filter can be drained by pulling up on the valve The first few hundred miles of the vehicle revealed significant amounts of oil trapped in one filter In an attempt to test whether the filter was effective at capturing oil vapor, I installed a second filter in series with the first. It is possible to prevent all oil vapor from passing through these filters, since the second filters catch about half of it. Though it may not come as a surprise since the crankcase vapors are extremely hot, so are the engine bays, so it may be that the filters are not able to condense oil as effectively as they would be in a cooler environment, like A similar disadvantage would apply to an aluminum oil catch can in an automobile. As a result, I am pleased to have been able to use two of these, for a much more reasonable price, and to be able to readily monitor their performance thanks to The performance of steel wool will be able to tell whether it helps or hurts condensation. While this is happening, the engine has been running silky smooth again, without any signs of smoke, sputtering, or other performance issues.

Filter is solid as a rock
5/5

Aside from my blast cabinet, this is mounted on the side. There was far too much water in the air line after I ran my compressor for 15 minutes or more. It stopped all visible water in the line once this filter was installed. Everything installed well, with the only minor exception that the heads of the bracket mounting screws did not fit my standard or metic allen head screws very well, so I'm still not sure if they are metic or standard. Then I was only concerned about the amount of force I needed to tuck them up. By opening the air pressure on/off valve on the blast cabinet, the filter plug on the filter sealed up, and I was ready to use it. Water collects in the line until you release the air in the line, and the bleeder valve automatically opens and drains the What amazed me was how much water the device removed. Great filter! I'm very happy with it.

I like that they say you get what you pay for
5/5

In this case, that is very true - there is no shortage of good things. My goals were clear, but I knew what I was looking for. Does this product deliver value? Yes, it does. If you are using it at home, you should note The lightweight construction of the unit does not pose a problem. The mount is also above average human reach height, so being vulnerable should not be an issue. There's a good amount of water pulled by the device. Is not prone to leaking. Comes with thin but good for 150-psi nipples in brass! (avec hex between the )The Teflon tape isn't that The Teflon content is very low and the thinness is very low But I did wrap it 8 times for each joint and there were That's what I love and it's what works for me.

The quality of the product is excellent
4/5

The problem is. There are too many screws on the mounting bracket Everything seems to be going well so far. As it should, it works. The bowl emptying is initiated when the air pressure is released or when a release button is pushed up on the bottomside. Pull down or pull out. Exactly where the water is released is a mystery to me. A star is deducted because the screws used to mount the 90 degree mounting bracket to the filter are WAY There is no way to thread the chassis deeper, the screws are too long.

Oh golly screw department, we need your help. It's time for you guys to act. Taking care of one task is your job. To obtain the right screw length, get the screw the right size.

Its smaller size is equipped with the filter separator pop-off valve
5/5

Exactly what I ordered in terms of size. Currently, there is no leak, the popoff drain valve works now, but I'm not sure how long it will last. As a powder coat, paint and plasma air filter, it can be used in conjunction with other filters and coolers/dryers. I am replacing units that I can't get new off the shelf Now I'm done with rings.

This device is worth the cost
5/5

The build quality is good and it works well. My compressor can push 125 psi, so I have not tested it at 175 psi yet, but it has handled 125 psi just fine. My only complaint is that the machine screws holding the mounting bracket on the chassis are These were ground down for me. My guess is that just a wrong batch of screws was delivered.

The leak causes air to leak
3/5

My push valve at the bottom of the glass bowl continues to leak live a gray cloud and cannot be stopped, so I thought this would be the answer to keeping moisture out of my paint gun.
