Mass produced washers are not going to cash in on $5 per washer. It is possible that the producers have a patient on them so the price will remain.
It saves me a lot of time and effort hooking up 3-point hitches. Point hitch implements that are easy to fix and do not always require other people's assistance. Lynch Pin Washers ensure the lower bars do not slide around, and are therefore an essential component of the system.
