While I was a bit skeptical at first, after spending some time exploring the possibilities of getting these pins to attach to my existing cotter setup, I was very pleased with the result. There is absolutely no concern about my kayak unclamping when I am out on the water since these are very secure. We have used these multiple times and they have held up great. If we need more, we would buy more.

This is good quality and not as thick as a quarter inch

I found it to be very good quality. The interface is easy Exactly what I wanted, a quarter inch or smaller. The cost of 1/4" non-stick is 5 times that of 1/4" The stainless steel is top of the line, but you pay for it.
