Because it wasn't fully attentive to everything, I didn't read everything before buying. This device is for a pressurized water system on my truck that I use to fill it with water quickly and then seal it As long as I didn't have to deal with a threaded cap, or with having to use plumber's tape every time I unscrewed a cap, I was good to go. This is what I found and I thought it would suit my purpose. The answer is yes. The only problem is it's rated for 5psi only. This was not the case when I first filled the water system. I started with 30psi and everything held fine. The water flowed as I expected so I decided to try 40psi (remember, this was before I realized it only works with Once the system is up to 40 PSI, I step back to check if there are It was at that moment that the plug gave way and shot off the top of the pipe like an old-time There was a big bang and it lofted about 20 feet into the air and ended up in the neighbors' He could be heard in the house due to its volume. When I pushed up to 25psi, the plug held and I was able to retrieve it, reattach it to the water system and allow it to run. During a six day camping trip next week in Moab we'll see how efficient it is, but that seems to be all it will need for now.
I had a wide open sewer hole in my basement after I renovated it myself. The plug has been replaced by a fancy red one.
Until now, I have been using lead sewer plugs on the trap, which can only be installed with As I was researching online, I came across the plastic plugs and decided to give them a try. I have always been concerned about cracking the cast iron plugs whenever I remove or install It is a fantastic company! The cast iron is not stressed in either the installation or removal because they are easily installed and removed by hand. In addition to sealing the pipe much better than lead plugs due to the rubber seal, they provide a good grip on the pipe. Having these plugs have saved my life on many occasions, and I have found them to be a great value. Product reviews indicate that you will not be disappointed in this purchase.
To remove the old water tubing from my resin fountain, I had to drill a hole into the back of the fountain. The only way to get the old tubing out was to drill a hole in the top. The hole I was planning on using was 4" x 4" but I plan to cover it with sheet metal and then seal it up with silicone. This hole plug was found by accident and I ordered it hoping for the best. In the end, it was the perfect fit to seal up the hole in the fountain and provide access to it if I need to get back into it. You're the best!.
It was impossible to screw a brass cap on the 70 year old cast iron cleanout because the threads were shot. There was a little more than four people at the opening Rather than an inch, I measured it at three inches 7/8" in diameter. I got this cap to fit perfectly, snugly secured all the way up with just a few turns of the beefy, oversized wingnut. I love how I can remove it if I need access to it at any time. At the top of the U-shaped ramp, there is a cleanout This cap would normally hold no pressure because it sits under no pressure and water never comes in contact with it, so I am not sure if the cap will hold up under Originally labeled 3-inches, this cap is 4" in diameter, replacing a brass 3-inches cap The original measurement was 1/2, but the actual measurement was 3 The threads extend 7/8 inch from the outer edge. There are so many odd sizes that I don't know how plumbers could possibly keep track of them. Best of all, this cap is a third less expensive than the Cherne cap, and it fits better and is easier to use than the alternative.
To close up the opening of the black tank in my RV, I bought this plug. I found it to be efficient and did what it said. Despite that, due to the bulk of the unit, it was unable to meet my specific needs. There was an inexpensive basic plastic plug at Home Depot that would do the job. * This plug appears to be of good construction. Anybody who needs this kind of plug should definitely check out this product. It was no problem at all for me. In my case, it was not what I needed.
There are many good things to say about this plug. Despite its light weight, it has a satisfying feel. My house has a vertical clean out in the wall, but I would no longer be able to get a wrench to access it, so I purchased this item to replace it. On the cast iron threads, it did not seal properly. This is probably not the purpose for which it was made. There might have been an easier way to install this plug if I had threaded in a short length of pipe first. It would have worked out well if you did that. It was just a clean out plug with a female slot that I used.
Oh yeah, love, that's right. There is a 4 inch pvc opening that has threaded caps attached to it. But they get stuck over time (or worse, they were installed sloppily and on more than one occasion), so you'd like to have threaded caps installed. The threads of the clean out cap are guaranteed to be clogged with set or other debris, making it difficult to open and close it. I've responded to your question below. This is pretty close to being airborne - When fully closed, the door is tight, but it is easy enough to open again when need be. I'm pretty sure it's not meant for pressurized usage. Nevertheless, if you have pipes, you should be able to access them as well Clean out caps like these are much better than most others.
