I could have bought a box of 50 metal ones made in China for less money, but half or more would not even have worked and the quality would not have been good. I am very satisfied with these Hilman Wing Nuts. They fit the screws well, screw on firmly, and cinch up very well. The nuts are very easy to remove, but they also keep my air vent snug against my ceiling, much better than the worn out aluminum nuts that came with my HVAC system.

As a result of people wanting $16 per nut, we had been using duct tape to secure it after changing the filter. Alternatives like this can be found at a very affordable price.
