Questions & Answers

The nut must be a certain size to fit the wing? As a result, I bought wing nuts that fit my hurricane shutters like 3/8 bolts. Those slots on the tool are so wide that I didn't realize. ?

There is only one slot. (The diameter of the circle is 55 inches or 5/32, or 4mm wide. A 1/4-inch nut is designed to drive in a recess in the product, the manufacturer says It varies from approximately 20 wing nuts to 40.

Are hooks and/or eyes possible to install with this method?

Using it on eyes and wing nuts has been no problem for me.

The bolt opening has a 2" diameter, cannot it accept a 2" bolt? Is it too shallow to accept a 2" ?

One tenth of an inch is the depth of the bit's center. This is 25 inches in length. There is no depth to the grooves on either side of the bit. It is 5 inches long. That should be helpful.

Is it possible to use a drill bit with ?

The four corners of a Ratchet set are four. I am giving you five dollars for a drill

These are essential for pool cartridge canisters secured with wing nuts
4/5

On my Hayward pool filter canister, I got tired of constantly taking the 4 wing nuts off and putting them back on again every single time I needed to clean the The other day, I saw my cordless impact driver in the garage and got an idea to search this site. I finally found several of these that fit both the wing and the depth shown at the top of a tightened wingnut, after a while of struggling to figure out the right search parameter. When I used it for the first time, it took me around 12 seconds to remove the wingnuts, and 10 seconds to replace them. You're doing a great job! A second one will be needed in case I lose this one, so I'll keep it somewhere secure. I definitely saved time and labor by using it.

For hurricane window covers, this drill works really well for screwing the wing nuts on and off
5/5

A hurricane window covering solution my parents bought uses wing nuts screwed onto threaded posts positioned around the windows and embedded in the wood. In testing one at the beginning of the summer, it quickly became apparent that screwing all of the wing nuts on by hand would be a nightmare, and certainly not something you would want to do on a deadline. There was a little adapter available on Amazon that was built just for this purpose. I can easily attach it to my drill like any other drill bit, and it easily slips over a wingnut. We tested them and were able to install and remove them in a short period of time with a reversible drill.

Tool that is extremely useful
5/5

My Florida home was recently protected with steel hurricane panels. The installation hardware consisted of studs placed around the perimeter of the windows and doors, and wingnuts screwed into the studs to secure the panels. This kit made installing over 100 wingnuts extremely simple.

I have no problems installing and uninstalling them - they're easy to use The use of wings The nuts I wanted
5/5

Just what I needed! It is important to have the right tools on hand when you are living in hurricane country. The shutters installed by my family many years ago helped protect our home. I have no problems installing and uninstalling them - they're easy to use The use of wings Although it is possible to tighten or loosen hundreds of nuts, it is difficult to do so by hand. This tool has a hole that fits into a cordless electric screwdriver, and it does the job quickly - it does exactly what it says it will do, and I really like it. You can wear them for years without wearing them down! Despite my attempts to find one in local hardware and home improvement stores, I have yet to find one. In the end, I decide Amazon would have the best answer, and I found what I was looking for there! It will be easier for me to install the shutters without ever having to resort to awkward tools or pliers. I hope I never have to use it, but I know I will be able to arrange it if I need it.

For storm shutters, this is a must
5/5

As I have hurricane shutters, they are held in place by numerous wing nuts. This is a must have for efficient application and removal of wing nuts. which is why I apply my wing nuts by hand and apply my wing nuts with a wing nut driver.

It saves a great deal of time
5/5

This will come in handy if you need to install a bunch of wing nuts, for your storm shutters or anything else. If you need anything, let me know Buying a few would be a good idea. The reason they last forever is not that they break. When you lend it out, you won't get it back, so you need several to ensure you don't lose too much money. It's also likely that your neighbor will ask if you can use it if they see you using.

4/5

This product is made A name that is in demand is priced fairly - This tool bit is made by a brand. There are no markings on this bit telling us what brand it is. The center hole is deep so that it can be used to screw wing nuts over studs. It is 1. 25 inches in diameter. Twenty-five and up There is an inch of depth to the hole. There is a label on the packaging that states it's Hillman brand and "Made in Taiwan. ".
