It's a fine nut, but a little thicker than most

To use them as spares for my Prusa i3 3D printer, I bought these. In most places where the Prusa uses square nuts there are slots in the plastic parts where the nut is supposed to be inserted. It is impossible to use these Honbay nuts without widening the hole because they are significantly thicker than the ones Prusa provides. Honbay nuts are perfectly fine nuts and there is no reason they would not work, but if your application imposes thickness limits, you may run into problems with them.

Edit for You might want to search for DIN 562 if you prefer thinner nuts.

Rails made by Synthrotek are not compatible with them

This is incorrect. case, which functions as the standard eurorack case for several Moog Mother 32/DFAM/Subharmonicon synths. In my case, it is too thick to fit in the rails of the moog case, so I am unable to use it. I guess I should make a prettier necklace or bracelet to remind myself to do a better job researching small parts before I buy them. ITT ITL ITL It would have been a waste of my money to buy them if I knew they wouldn't fit in the.

I found this to be slightly thicker than the existing nuts on my 3D Printer My only reason for voting down was the fact that it's a bit thicker than the nuts on my existing 3D Printer The other parts of the device work fine, but it was a bit difficult to use for the upgrade of my extruder

The Micro-items I got are meant for Micro-iPads Upon investigating beam extrusions, we find that about half of the nuts have a flare on the side that encloses size 5 nylon keepers, which are larger in size than the size 2 keeps. I cannot fit a 5mm hex socket on it, since its head is that small. If you use an open-end wrench, you can get them working from the side. In the end, I would have returned them if I hadn't already poured them into the same container as other M3 locknuts (which I have never experienced a trouble The other than that, they are "usable. " But the fact that they are not compatible with my usual tools is annoying.

In general, these Square Nuts work well and represent a good value, however, if you intend to use them as replacements for Prusa printers, they won't fit without modifications.

This item is amazing, and I highly recommend it. My EuroRack (Arturia RackBrute 6U) comes with a set of these square nuts that I used to secure my modules to the rail. They fit perfectly and are the right size. Screws would be 3M to fit perfectly in this square nut. That's fantastic, I love it.
