Product Description

A square nut can be used in a channel or welded to another steel product. It is very difficult to find a square nut that is not four-sided.

Standard hex nuts have a smaller surface area in contact with the part being fastened, so they tend to be less likely to loosen than square nuts (although they also tend to tighten more easily).

Unlike rounded-off things, they are also much less likely to become round after repeated loosening and tightening.

Could you tell me what the outside dimensions are since this will be slid into some aluminum extrusions? In order for them to slide in the track, they need to be 1/2" x 1/2". ?
